Wind: up and down. Harness strap bungee broke so I had to come in to tighten everything else up and by time I came out the wind went SSE and killed everything. Second attempt was really ESE, great for about an hour. I managed to land quite a few rotations until the wind died to the point where I could not get enough air to complete one. For some reason it seems to be easier doing a double rotation than it is one. Just remember to pull on the forward hand on the way down!

Nice recovery day spent on the water after a long work stint with no days off. The reservoir was clear of ice, but the water was COLD, probably 1-2 C. Ice block feet found it hard to find the straps. Light and gusty at first, okay for the 99L and 5.8. Tried out the new Wardog 9.75" fin - it keeps upwind well for such a wavy shape! The wind built around 3:00 rapidly. First time at willows and I really liked it 8) .
Lit on the 15 the whole time, with plenty of power to jump. A little different jumping on such a big floaty kite. Front rolls turned into doubles more than once. :roll: Did a few kiteloops on the big kite. Got the front rolls with a stalefish painfully close on numerous occasions :twisted: but never rode away totally clean :evil: . Looking forward to another willows day!

Showed up at 1:oopm with the lake covered inwhitecaps,Dale had the place to himself. He came in for a Walmart greeting.Had a nice upwinder to Knob,stopped for the view from the picnic table.Nice to do the upwinder with WSF and Dale .Picked up a notch,tried the 4.7 and 84l ,only good for 2 reaches. Good sleeping at the campground ,everybody was quiet.Hoping for a doubleheader,but outflow was strong today.Port Alberni road is the way to go,much more humane than Youbou!

Awsome day, woke up to warm sun and warm fire. Wind started at 9 built until 11 and full on all day. Super lit on the 16 for awhile, which was fun as I could play in the chop and not have to move the kite, just play away. blew out my 5th line, thanks again reed for the offer of the kit. Wow! Surprise high wind session. Flew the 8M and Fish and got much more comfy jumping the small kite. RD was loopin' it up off of the choplets and many of his rotations looked very grubby-esque. Nice! Smooth wind, low crowd factor, coolish temps. Wish I'd brought the windsurf gear too (thanks for the few runs on your kit, RD!) Thanks also for the ride up, RD. The road up is HELL!!!

:shock: :D Wow! What a nice surprise, at noon I rounded the corner at the lake and there were white caps everywhere and not a soul on the water yet. By the time I pulled into the campsite there were 3-4 windsurfers and 3-4 kites on the water in what looked like a solid 25 knts :D One sail and one board was all I needed today. After being delayed 1.5 hours due to heli loggin, I mach 9'd it in from port, sorry to hear all you folks having to drive the "bombed out" road. Got to the lake just in time as the wind was filling in and I had a nice relaxing session. A little work at times, but nonetheless, nice and mellow.

:D :D Sweet. Missed the stronger winds this morning 'cause I was waiting for Granny to arrive and take over child care. Didn't get out 'til about 11:00 and by then it had died down quite a bit, but perfectly powered and cruising the whole time on the 6.9. Sunny. Getting warmer every day. So nice.

Nicely powered up on 4.7 and 84 for a couple hours, nice swells and smooth,started to drop, had to work it, decided to rerig for bigger stuff, which was fine for the second half.Good turnout,ID,WSF,GuruGene,Paul,Saul,Matthew,Mark, Luke, John, and Gord the Fin Meister.
