Best session out of the 4 in row I've now scored. Solid wind and waves for an hour. Rocked the 810 after 1099ing it for last few sessions and felt set free for carving up those beauty swells. Got 2 heel side tacks in a row for first time. Last 1/2 hour milked the swell off Clover in diminishing wing.

Got there around 4 and it was blowing. Eric was out on an 8m and recommended it. I figured I would give it a go but doubted that it would be enough for me. Well it turned out to be really good! I did have to pull the bar all the way in most of the session but that little kite pulled me right along. Super fast moving and it would develop a lot of power as it moved through the window. Not a lot of swell to ride today but had fun nonetheless mashing around in the chop. One downside of the smaller kite w ... (more)

As far as local sailing goes, the first hour was top notch. Big, steep and groomed swell and great wind. Second hour was damn good, last bit got a bit light then choppy. Accidentally cutoff surf ski guy, sorry, and sailed too close to idefix a few times (not that sorry, someone has to fill in for Tweezer).

Greedy Mark got on the water first (again). But I was onto his scheme to hoard all the waves to himself. Jesse started stuffing himself early too. I pumped up a 5 and was very soon OP'd but had some big floaty jumps and some good rides before heading in for the 4m. Could have easily been on 2.5 by the late aft. By then the Wsfrs were out smashing things and I was mostly mowing the lawn, hunting for scraps. Love this place. Gracias!! Cheers to David for securing camping for a couple of nights. Thanks for the updates BWD and team, the site looks great! Good start to summer vacation with a pre dinner session. Started on the 3 with good swell but it gradually lightened and I switched to the 5.5. Water was pretty junk free. Ran the shuttle service for a friend starting out to cap it off.

Outstanding session at Willows with Paul and Greg. It was just the training conditions I was waiting for to work on my gybes. Steady 15-20kts. Gusts were perfect for getting up foiling but not excessive. Not as many Willows holes as usually expected. Got some nice progression with those benign conditions. I love the RB swell excitement, but often my beginner skills degrade to just survival in the RB dynamics. Timed the session perfectly as the winds diminished at suppertime, just as DocG arrived.....

Hate. Morning glass was overtaken by wind quickly ramping up about noon. Clean wavesailing was quickly overtaken by full 'hate'. Some were making it look easy including the locals like Dana, Luke, and Clay. Russ joined in later. Dana mentioned he was glad to see the BWD crew back again. Most of the BWD crew also represented well. I was struggling to connect the dots today and my wave count was in the low single digits ' I was on the water mid-session and was served a strange batch of 'hate' t ... (more)

Hit the RB sweet spot once again with some light swell and consistent 18kt winds. Got a bit of my gybe mojo back but it remains a work in progress. There was some fun swell riding. Great to share the crashes with the aging crew with Danno, Greg, Paul, Lance, and DocG. There was a shady entrepreneur named after a flying beast pressuring unsuspecting foilers to support his clothing cause.

Yet again rigged as the wind went to nothing. Entertained by the long distance prone paddlers. It finally filled in again i I wind dummied and foiled just off the beach. Played in the wind made a bunch of dry but non flying gybes. A couple of downwind runs. Felt a little tired and foiled for the beach. Didn't make it and padded for 10 minutes to finish. Kites upwind of Clover were owning it.

Timed it right for a change. Fun smooth waves and windy enough for the 3.5. Super fun and steep waves off clover. Then it died abruptly and I was close enough for a short swim to the point with a long walk. Hung around and the wind came back but it still looked a bit bubbly. Saw Sam head out and looked to be doing well, or if it wasn't him someone was borrowing his hair.

First on the water and had a really good session with good power and some swell to ride. A sunny, warm and sweet session until a shore bubble appeared. The bubble happened fast and stretched from Finlayson Point (where I was when it happened) all the way to Clover. I worked the kite until I couldn't stay on the board and then body dragged for a while back to Clover. The HL Crave did a great job staying in the air while other kites were in the sea. Raced to get down to Clover after work only to find it had died completely - kites in the water, foilers paddling back in. Luckily, it sprang back to life and provided a solid hour of amazing lofty wind and good ramps for boosting. Great, short session.

Slog and ride. The south swell was rolling in earnest. Nanmoo started the session off tummy surfing. Portland Dave on SUP. Winddoctor was ripping SUP-foil early. Tweezer was making the wind look steady on wing. Redbaron, myself, Vickey and Jens joined in on windsurfing gear. Then Nanmoo on kite. Dan and Winddoctor closed it off on wings. I think we had all the options covered.
Pretty sure Tweezer's wave count was well into the double digits. Redbaron caught some solid waves! For the rest there ... (more)

Got the south wind ! That's one tack anywhere you want to go! I did the 'tour de Dallas' up to Ogden point - which was choppy as fuck, then all the way 4KM down to Ross Bay on one tack, then all the way back home.

Thx for the lake trip Tuna! Spent an incredibly long time on the water. Perfect conditions all day. Went super deep into the bay and found some shredable rollers. Went for the footstraps at lunch and after some tweaking it felt pretty good. Sent some airs with a Tunacan follow cam and the clips look sweet!!

Great session at Nitinat with Bougie. Decided on the day trip as wind has been hit and miss here for a few days. It was pumping 20+ when we got there at noon and probably close to 30Kts throughout the day. When we left at six it was still blowing 25kts. Lake and campsite seemed pretty quiet. Didnt see any RBFC members... Jack launched his first jumps and I locked down my heelside tacks. Both sailed till we were pretty well spent.

Arrived to solid 15 kts. Rigged up 5.2m Flyer (favourite sail) and big board and headed out quick before it turned W. Got in a solid hour although crashed twice. Once because of kelp, and ya it's growing everywhere, and once because I gybed on a huge wave and after flipping the sail I came straight down the face and did a sweet nose-dive! Played it almost perfectly, as it felt like it was getting lighter so turned and headed for shore. Foiled to within 50 meters and as I was derigging it completely died. ... (more)

Second day at Pistol and the wind and swell built up. Lots of waves to hook together on the outside and tried a few slides on the inside before the crumble.
