Fun at times, despite the crazy flood, gusty wind and evil chop. A few good fwd attempts made the day worthwhile. Conditions improved a bit later in the day.

Good session, great to see so many people out, although I almost ran over a few of them, sorry. New sail was awesome, landing lots of vulcans today. The flood tide was a bit annoying but it made for some nice flat water.

:D Fantastic day!! Arrived at 11am to sun and wind. Set sail and ripped out and found less wind on the outside. 43.6km/h on my first run which was fastest of the day for me. Came back in to tighten the outhaul and found Keen(er) and BigD rigging up. Keen(er) rigged his 6.2m and basically killed any chance of the wind getting above 15kts. DOOD! Sailed another 2 hours, mostly on the inside playing in the small chopprs off Clover. One run down to Trial and back. Came in and wind died...Good timing!! Wen ... (more)

Great cruise in the sun except for the $35 parking ticket (no parking metres anywhere in the city, but the boat launch "improvement area" apparently needs a ticket and I didn't see the sign). New 7-oh Superfreak pulls harder at the low end than the 7.5 Retro did, and its WAY lighter feel, and jibes and tacks like a dream; super easy transitions. Crossed the harbour a few times, threaded through the trees and driftwood tide lines that has come in from the flooding Skeena, got planing once, teased ... (more)

I went out on Evo was fully powered planing right off the beach till the gust died. Barely made it back, switched to Fanatic and stayed happy for a while till it got too much to handle. Switched back to Evo for the last 30 min or so.

Highlight of the day - a couple of very nice wave rides on the inside, plus lots of strap-to-strap jibes. They are sooo fun!!!!! One lame forward attempt.

DWD tossed a great forward on his first reach out and nearly nailed it dry. BWD was hucking some really nice high endos off the inside (and shallow) section. Saw a Russian pirate try to loop today  . Morewind and Paul were hucking off of everything. Ozy's air spocks were impressive. Wingnut was freakishly super high on Acid 77 ... (more)
