:D Rigged a 5.0 on sat. morn and derigged the same sail on sunday nite. Over powered at times. big fun. Not to many people yet, warm, lots of big air from kiters, and plenty of good moves from the windsurfers. Fun was had by all. Saturday was the best day I think.

Felt tired and less stoked. Lacked desire to try much except forwards. Tried Keith's 4.8 hucker. Really interesting sail. Not a great match for my big board, but on a slalomy board it would be insane for speed and jumps! Big hangtime even off little choplets.

A fabulous day. With a tired body, I had a great day!! Readjusted the harness lines to give my poor arms a break. And I was in both foot straps on every tack. What a difference. Although a smaller sail would have been useful. Had several good jibe attempts...further around on the turn than ever before...thanks to Jeff for the good tips.

Got up early (sore), made coffee and went flyfishing with my Dad. In about 1.5 hours we landed about 8+ nice trout in a small lake he had found a few years back. Caught and released all except 2 big ones which we cooked up for breakfast. My first time landing fish on a fly rod. Sweet. Started the windsurfing day on the 4.8 Hucker at noonish....moved my front footstraps inboard and went to one back strap from 2 straps.....made the Hucker feel a bit slower/controllable but still so so fast. Wasn't too sure about going to Nitinat Sunday with rain looming in the forcast. But it turned into a fun windy afternoon. Was overpowered on the 4.5 so out came the 4.0. Sky was a little overcast, but the wind was crankin, especially on the far side of the lake. Thanks to Tony for the ride in.

right on :!: :D steadily building wind delivered another sweet Gordos session. cloudy and it still came thru. Loop-a-matic and rideable smooth swell at middles. Small, but stoked crowd, BWD, Wingnut, Peter, and Jimmy-ripper-kiter. HOT wind at times. Perhaps the warmest Gordos session ever. Cruisin' home to all-blues on NPR radio. Life is great 8)

:) Did a couple hours of wind waiting today as the wind teased at filling in but kept backing off. Got some marginal planing time on the fish at first, then it came up pretty good for a 4.7 once away from shore. I was pretty powered on the 5.5 but it handles the high end amazingly well. Had alot more fun once I went to my small board. Could've kept sailing but was getting nervous about being way out on my small board when the wind suddenly drops.

Yeah Baby !!! First time I've ever scored wind @ Gordos with cloud cover. Weird bubble but waited for the wind to fill in to the beach & scored about 1.5 hours with the windsurfers (Don, Dave, Mike & Peter)... Gusty gnarly wind switching from cool marine air to HOT offshore squalls & ramps galore... Great fun ... A little odd with the bubble but charged in for a hot landing during another burst bubble. First day since October! So glad to be on the water. I was crazy overpowered most of the day, and just hanging on for dear life. Several catapults (er...loop attempts), and not even a single attempt to get into the straps. It's been a long winter, and the body is feeling it. And - just to be consistent - put a small tear in the sail - thank gawd for tuck tape! Tried the F2 Axxis258 - it wasn't pretty.

Actually it was 2 sessions rather than one. First one was kinda slowish 5.5/Evo combo and the second one was pretty good. Tried looping a couple of times . It's Very difficult to find right ramp. Doc gave me a good tip on looping entrance that's turned ot to be a gem, thanks Doc!

Got there at 11:00 am and parked by mtm. Went out on the 5.2 Revo, got worked a bit as I have not sailed big winds in a long time. Harness lines were messed up at first. Gotta get back to the fixed Dakine lines...the adjustable swinging lines are too hard to hook into when overpowered. Needed lots of rests. Had some good runs on 5.2 Revo overpowered and then rigged the Hucker 4.8M. My first try of a Sailworks Hucker :shock: The 4.8 Hucker pulls harder than a 5.2 Revo....man it goes fast. Once lock ... Nitinat doesn't get much better. Nice solid wind with a big blow at the end the day. Had trouble hanging onto the 5.2 for the second session...pretty much what Trevor said less the forwards...I was upside down a few times.

Great day at Nitinat again. Got a few reaches in on the new 6.4 but after about 15 minutes I couldn't hang on. Was fully powered on a 5.3/Kombat 95 for the next few hours. Switched to 6.0/121 at about 3, then it cranked up again with a vengence! Alas, we had to pack up and go. Great 3 day trip. Met Winddoc. Lots of good vibes as usual. Russian Dude, KC7777, Stan the Czech, KSD, FOLO, and many more of the usual suspects on site.

:D Good 5.5 wind when I arrived but by the time I got my suit on it dropped off quite a bit, so i waited for an hour. All of a sudden the wind came back up and I was mega powered farther out but you had to stay well away from shore. Could've been on my 4.7 the whole time if not for the hole on the inside. Some nice smooth rollers farther out. Lots of fog around today, mostly sunny tho. :D

Wow, a really great day up at Nitinat. I was really overpower in my 10m all day found my limit. I actually went out on Anna's 5m close to the end of the day an managed to stay up wind on it.
I met and saw some of the Ocean Rodeo Crew out with there new gear (Rise/Diablos) today. All there new gear looks really sweet, might have to save some money for a new O.R. Rise for the future.

So Nice to be back on the lake. Warm!! Campground renos look interesting. Tried lots of small chop shuvits and was nearly alone on the lake at times. Campground was ultra quiet. Great mellow session with some grubby attempts thrown in.

Another fantastic day. The wind was up at 11:30 and pretty steady 5.0 to 5.5 for most of the afternoon with a couple of short lulls. Not as crankin as Thursday but still an A day. About 6 or 8 windsurfers and an equal number of kiters. QUIET!
