Good head on chop at first. Fluky wind - on for a while then off and sometimes it had no punch to it. Got better near the end with 20+ and some small swell. Good turnout.

Tested the new gopro cam on the helmet. Turns out my head moves around too much and the video is really shaky . Maybe I'll try mounting on the boom. I did get 2 ok loop clips but its mostly just bouncy water shots.

Fluked out and managed to get off the beach, kited offshore for an hour while 9 kites sat on the beach and couldnt do anything. Huge bubble but once you made it to the wind it was all good. Managed to avoid a really long swim in.

The fog hung in for quite a while today but spent a lovely afternoon out on the water. One kite splat in the dead zone while trying to help Joe (thanks Mike & Giles). One schlog in the fog down to the cabins with a hike back. 4 hours t.i.w.(time in wetsuit) Dinner @ the 17mile. A perfect spring day.

:D :D Never had a liftier day at Cook St. It simply doesn't get bettter than that! Despite being rusty and being my first higher wind session of the year, was able to get a few good jumps in later. Witnessed a Ross eclipse, going so high he blocked the sun. Everyone was going high! To quote my niece "That was some *sweet* air, Uncle Paul!". Definitely best session of the year to date.

Arrived at 5pm to absolutely nothing on the inside and lots outside end of Clover. Huge CloverChop made schloggin' out to the wind interesting. Biggest waves I've ever sailed in on the Formula gear  . WOW!! Got lots of air off the big ones on the outside when lit-up!! 18-20kts on the FE and 8.5m was fantastic. Sailed down to S. end of Trial and back on a single reach and tack with lots of South in the wind today! Tonnes of fun sailing in the crazy conditions with BigD and MF4. Saw lots O' kites out ... :D :D :D Bolted from work at 1:30 arrived at 2:30 to find a nice big fog bank all the way up the strait and lots of wind. This definitely ranks as one of the best days I've had at Gordo's. Light on the inside at first and 4.0 wind outside with tons of jumpable waves. Winddoc was impressive as usual shuving it and looping all over the place. Didn't want to stop at the end but the knees said 'no more'.

Does it get any better at G-spot?? Easily the best session I've had there and it beat most of the Gorge sessions I've had in the past. Sailed with Wingnut watching him blaze speedruns and launching monster air in front of me. Kus was working the swell like a madman, swerving up and down. I tossed lots of backs today and landed two. Got my highest and best shuvits yet. So fun! Didn't want to come in. Epic Gordo's. Missed the rest of the crew out there. Where were y'all??

    choppy to excellent
    2.50 hours
Thats what I,m talking about ,big turnout of hard core sailors and kinda choppyish at first and solid 25 to 35 on the outside and as the flood tide backed off the waves and swell cleaned up beautifully allowing big jumps going out and great wvey slashing and down the line riding .one of the top 10 days for me note to self bring protein shake and other energy producing foods to sustain the high level of energy for these conditions

1.00 hours Exocet Kona Style 220
    Sailworks Retro 7.5
Strange session, absolutely nothing at the beach, to OP gusts. Big waves were breaking hollow on the outside -weird. A couple of nice runs, sailed close with Big D, saw Bobson go by a few times too. Buried the big nose hammering downwind a few times, that makes for lots of spray and a good test of the footstraps! Some wood out there. 39 kmph top. Lousy jibes today.

Where were the windsurfers today? A great afternoon between 4 to 6:30 for you.

The wind did rise quickly so I used the 12m Diablo today with about an inch of depower.

lots of wind, sun and rivers of larger swellettes.

    Lots of driftwood though.

I think Sheringham is reading a bit low unless it was actually stronger at Gordos.

Came in 30mins later to rest up and help Anna with a few downwinders from the river and then headed back out again for another 2 hrs.

2.00 hours Ocean Rodeo Zen 135
    Ocean Rodeo Rise 12m
2 plus hours of kiting bliss (4ish to 6ish).
