More time on the beach than in the water.

But still better than gettin kicked in the junk!

Have to re-arange the footstraps on the board.

It's not right, where they are.

But great kite\board combo for really lite wind.

JL and Mike got some to.

:D They should outlaw that kind of fun ! Another primo session.

Watch out for lots of dog crap everywhere . One of these days I should do Sh*t patrol to clean up the latent festering poo.

I did a back to back test of the Mako and my beloved Agression 128. Overall I'd prefer riding the Agression in most conditions:

    Summary:

    Mako:

    -Faster than Agression

-Bounces a bit in chop - I think the length is a factor - more than I like

-Edges well but slips a bit from time to time and when slashing ... (more)

Nice to be on the little board again, but the wind was ultra flukey (wish I'd rigged 5.5) and the tide was flooding heavily. Felt kooky for the first bit and got hucked by kelp and invisi-logs twice. Felt weird throwing forwards again, but ready for some quality wind soon!! Thx for the board demo, John!

Rigged the 11 but it was way to light, so I deflated and got the 14 out.

As soon as I put it up the wind kicked in.

Scott, and Kus helped launch me, with a quick line uncross. Then out for some way too overpowered sailing. It didn't seem that windy. But when I got home and found a picture of me, it said 21 gusting to 29. No wonder!

Those gusts started hitting me, and I wanted out. So I came in to the beach a ways down because I fell in and got pulled down very far FAST untill I could get my board back on ... (more)

The long wait finally paid off. Just me, ULR and Pasta sharing the waves. Oh yeah and 20 surfers  A little crowded and lots of evil looks from surfers. Big kelp bed on the outside made for some near catapaults. Strong current and light wind near the point also added to the fun. Best part was watching ULR get hucked over the falls on a big set and dragged though a group of surfers. Came in to see his moho set on fire - and they say surfers are mean.

Just a stunning day. Downwind from Sebastion to E pt. A bit light but we really tested the low end of 9m flat kites. Definitely staying up wind in 15 knots or less. Jens was on his new OR 9m One.

Spent part of the morning watching the bears (from the safety of my kayak) wandering along the shoreline in their search for spawning salmon and got caught in the wind and chop at the Nitinat River estuary which made for a slow paddle back to the campsite. Other than somebody gill netting off Knob Point no one else on the water with WR and myself. Beautiful warm afternoon on the beach and out sailing. Hard to keep clear of jumping coho! What a great time of year to soak up the autumnal rhythms of Nitinat.

After a latte and conference with Mark & Mike at the shore, decided to go out. A bit light at first, but filled in out in the bay near Maude with decent planing. Tried the 111L but the slog at the beach was too far....

A decent sunny Sunday Cruise.... [b:6f22adf1c9]Bring on the SE's [/b:6f22adf1c9]
