Well, I suppose after doing concrete & rockwork all day I was hoping for more :x esp for #100 since THAT will likely never happen to me again. Got a few runs early but then it died off fast. As it was, highlight was good company & beers in the sun (& then freezing our collective asses off :? when it went down with da cold brews, fall is HERE today :!: ) Thought I'd get a last quick planing ride pumping when kelp snagged me for an endo, nice

Wind was strongest at first then was up and down...mostly down. Took 4 min to waterstart on the outside but made it back to the starting point each time. Celebrated with Kuz for his 100th sail this year, boy your German beer packs a punch Kuz. Had to do one more slightly intoxicated run to warm up!

Waayyy to windy for my gear, so mooched a 9m ONE to try, quite enjoyed it, smooth handling of the gusts. I went out just as the wind started to taylor off, so not as crazy as midafternoon. Got a few Carves off some waves, :) so all is good. It was great to see everybody out there.

Started ultra mellow, playing "connect the gusts" to stay on a plane. Wind picked up to solid 23 knots or so with flooding tide. Solo session in warm water!

Unfortunately ended my session with the discovery that my custom board has a massive crack along the bottom parallel to the rail    Never hit anything and crack wasn't there when I started my session. Shitty. Jumping wound? :x

Super foggy in am promised a great day!! Wind was up early so waited til 12 so I could get right on to the smaller gear. SOOO much fun out there...... I forgot I was the only one on the lake for the first half. Felt really connected to gear and conditions today. It was such a shame to have to leave knowing that it was most likely the last summer day with such great conditions. Would have had to rig the 4.2 if I was going to stay!!

Quick session started overpowered when JL went in but after half an hour the wind died and I ended down at Martins. Three attemps to get back upwind and ending back at Martins I finally made the shamefull walk. After Art and Rudy went home I was able to make another run to wash off the seaweed and made it back to the launch with no shamefull walk

Beautiful day at the lake .........clear skies and warm. Light wind in the morning so sailed up to the river initially and then it picked up after lunch allowing Heather and I to race back and forth and practice jibing around the mark. Great time. Unfortunately, our photogragher had fallen asleep under his straw hat by the time I finally made my first starboard tack jibe.........well, it had taken three hours of attempts!!! No problem on the other side though........I quess I just needed the whole lake to ... (more)

    Crazy wind!

At the end, my kite was surging all over the place.

Then I found when I got home,

it was 22 gusting to 26 when I landed.

    I love my new kites.

I was attaching my board leash to my harness shorts,

but today I crashed, board submerged, kite powered up.

    And SNAP!!!

Now I have to re-attach the handle on my harness.

So I got some unwanted practice at dragging upwind for my board.

Which JL and I were just talking about how, because we use the leash,

we are lax on that skill.

    I was going ... (more)

 8) :D . I could leave it at that, but I am simply not a man of few words... Paradoxically, some pretty bad wind, and yet one of my most fun sessions of the year. 3 hours, of mostly zero lift wind which was up and down all day, but some moments of incredibly fun crazyness! Most jumps were wormburners, but a couple were kind of high. 3 straight hours on the water. Tried the MAKO - it is simply the BEST production board I have ever ridden (thanks Ross). And the ONE kite, once again, proved it's weig ... (more)

it was great when i started but then the clouds came over and killed it so fast i ended up swimming in. got close on one grubby, was sliding backwards looking into the wind thru the sail but didnt spin around - more speed needed?! today i awoke to rain.. and summers done just like that. thank you for a great season top secret lake n.

One board, one sail, one lake, one great day!!! (I tried to get you out FOLO!). After an AM at work, on the water ~2PM. Lots of power, probably could have sailed a 4.5 after 5PM, but the oh so tuneable Ezzy let me stay with the 5. Excellent sailing with Jack, Bill, 'Port Steve', Henk and Kus. It was indeed a suprisingly great day for September at the lake....

Another good day at nat. Starterd later than yesterday. Could have been on the 5.0 for most of the day but stayed out on the 5.7. Still tired from yesterday's sesh. Sailed up to the island with Hank and played on the swellies back. Best wind and waves came around 5 but too tired to properly use. FUN FUN FUN on the small board. Kuz was ripping it up. Most of the day had only 5 windsurfers and 2 kites on the water.

Windsurfish ripping it up too.
