:) First time for me at Florence, started out on 4.7 already OP soon rigged 4.0 and then still mega powered. Had fun till I got cold then de-rigged and took photos of Chris, Dave and Mark with Chris' camera from a good vantage point on the jetty. Got some good shots of Chris and Dave rippin' it up with some nice rides and forward and back loops by Chris. 8)

Florence delivers yet again. It looked grim around 2pm then the wind kicked in to 5.0 for about an hour. Then it really kicked in to 30+ and we all rigged smaller. Great small steep waves near the jetty...Winddoc throwing nice forwards and backs. TheLaw getting great rides.

Easily the most memorable session I have and may ever have! Launched off the pink granite rocks upwind of our anchorage. Wind was more powerfull than I hasd thought and it continued to build as I was out. Did a few passes around my launch site and proceeded for a nice downwinder, passing through a narrow chanel with pink granite rocks on either side of me and into our sheltered anchorage. 35 boats in the bay, flat glassy water on the downwind side of the flat granite island. A decent hour on the SW before class. After he failed to water re-lauch his kite, the cops came looking for Mr. Ed. :shock: Of horse, by the time they got there, he was re-pumping up his kite to go out again. They seemed to be on the scent of T-man for a while on his Beluga of a board, no doubt curious of his reefer-madness style of kiting and that familiar sweet smell. Friggen good session. Wind and swell was great for the first hour. Had my closest backloop attempt. Wind got holy so I sat around for a bit. On the 2nd session, something happened and the Hate came on strong. Lots of forward attempts and lots of mini shuvits. Totally pumped now...woohoooo. Day 12.

Went for a first run on my FreeWawe, just to run back with my tail between the legs, to grab Evo! Great groove on the water. I tried front once, many 360's attempts, one clean tack on the incide cheared by peers. Love that.

Windiest day yet for the gorge portion of our adventure. Good fun - lots of shuvit attempts, a few that felt ok. Some vulcans and backloop tries and 1 forward attempt. Super gusty as usual. Johnnyman outdoing everyone with his endless energy. Kus hucking numerous backloops. No crowds. Day 11.

Good summer Cook outing. No bubble, no crap in the water, not crowded, super warm :D Easy sailing conditions for practising tricks. Got greedy at the end trying to loop off almost no chop and got the ejection seat :oops: Joined by Tom, Mark, and Bear, and a few kiters.
