Day 3 Started much earlier, clearing & sunnier w/less fog 8) Able to blast around noonish on powered 5.3 for 2+hrs, gentle break w/ big waves out, tons of rides then wind dropped a bit, lunched. After it seemed up & shorebreak getting nasty again. Got slammed a few times, punched thru tho & instantly realized it's actually now 4.0-4.5, waves getting huge(r). Thought I'd tough things out for a bit but boardrail bit my fibula in the break, limped in & iced

Hit the water as the sun was peeking out from behind the Coast Mountains - 5:45 am. Suffered through the nasty hole wondering if 5.0 was going to be enough - it was too much at times. 4.0 gusts around the point and the steepest port ramps I've ever seen. Had to slow down before hitting a couple 'cause I was scared - huge hangtime. Some big smooth sets near shore for backside slashing and smooth jibes. Sensational solo sunrise session.

Had two great 6.0/121 sessions with a lull in the middle that gave me time for a cool frosty one. The wind shut down at about 4:45 today. Another hot day in the shortie. I don’t recall the lake being this warm. Maybe Al Gore is right!! TOW about 3.5 – 4 hrs.

:D Perfect day. Wind picked up at 11am we sailed course and slalom all day. 3 course races and 4 slalom races to finish off the Blowout. I could have been on the 10.0m but had to go with 8.5m when I had harness problems early on. It just kept picking up all day gusting near 20kts later in the day. Super flat water with some boat chop to make things interesting. Great party and prizes to finish off a wonderful weekend at Harrison. Sailed F-type 158 again today. Day 2 started off better but fog still surrounding us, started earlier but too hot inland sucking the moisture in and leaving us with light winds, sailing in fog, a bit scary sailing by only foghorn & wind direction, can't see jetty or beach, others, bummer :x Got tired of slogging & only catching waves on way in so finally rigged 5.8 to promply have last breaking wave take out main panel, so much for that day :cry:

Great day of sailing today. Was perfectly powered up on the 5.3. Managed to get into the back footstrap on almost every tack!! And what a difference! :D So much more control of the board. Stayed upwind and back to the beach everytime! And...tried some jibes. On the water by 11:30, an hour of almost solo sailing the 7.5, working on faster sail rotations, no falls and so hot I dragged a hand or foot to make some spray to cool down! Then in to the beach for a 5.8, and the "TINY" sail rotated SO fast :!: Loads of planing gybes, cruised upwind to the bay as it got busy, solo cruising practicing S-turns on the bigger waves, finally managed several chop hops, got the timing right, then back to 'glued-to-the-water-pathetic-upward-body-lurch' move. Pipers was too much fun! Had my first session on the Superfreak 5.5 and I can't say enough how nice it is to sail and maneuver. Decent low end, never came close to finding the top end, flicky, unbelievably light feeling, instant depower in transitions. This sail just plain rocks. I thought my Ezzys were sweet! Maybe a 4.7 SF is in order. Breakthrough day (in part due to the sail): landed two vulcans, have Geckos pretty close to wired and managed many decent shuvit attempts. :D Holy Powered up Bobsons!! Did the Bear Creek Blowout downwind'er from RivTow breakwater beach down to Bear Creek campground! Left at 4:20pm from Rivtow on F-type and 10.0m in about 12-15kts, made it to the first island and there were big holes of nothingness. after 20-30 mins of pumping and schloggin it picked up to 18-25kts for a screaming powered up run down to the campground!! spent all day on 7.5, though could have been 5.8 for part. HOT, rash guard and boardshorts (all weekend), bare feet till blisters and raw spots sent me back for booties. Worked on planing out of jibes (Thanks Dasher I'm up to about 10 of the 12 steps!) and gave Bobson's far side buoy a workout with :twisted: races with Rick, Pat, Windsurfish, and ? Too much fun! So many friends in camp I didn't even see many of them, never got downwind of Vic's spot visiting!

:D major milestone today, first longboard sail with tobin on the nose! later had a nice sail up to knob pt to sit on the table and take it all in. finally clicked on the carve 360s, did 3 sucessful ones on one reach, sailing spirals across the lake..now on to starboard tack! :cry: nice swim in the crik, bbq, singsongs with hoardes of old friends and kids.
