Another great day! No epic swell but good little ramps. Happy to try some forwards near the end of the session - man I've got a long way to go on those. Tried lots of baby Shuvits. Doc, Dunkinguy and Morewind showing some good hate out there.

D'oh! I watched for what seemed like forever, lots of wind, and then some. When I finally got out, it dropped for exactly how long I was out, plus 30 seconds! Timing was off, but still good to get out. The kite eats gusts for breakfast, but holes and lack of lift are still facts of life...

Well the Hate bubbled up a little, not as much as I had hoped but a very fun day. Almost the entire crew was there...even Fish and Fishette (sorry Barbara!) made an after work appearance. Had some sweet swell rides on the outside....middles to outside was good early on and then it filled in to the beach for about an hour. UMMMM to say that Windoc is good at forwards is an understatement...I don't think the Africa trip hurt his sailing. I am pretty sure I saw an upwind 360 from Morewind on the Hevo...nic ... (more)

Windiest day I have ever seen at Nitinaht / Nukinaht / Nitinuke!!!

Sailed a 4.2 and the smallest boards I have ever sailed (successfully). :)

    4.2/72L 2.5 hrs

    4.2/80L 1.0 hrs Hitech glass board (Gunter's loan/test drive program :)

    5.0/80L 0.5 hrs

The glass board was the smoothest ride in the chop, even when way overpowered. NICE !!! Not so good for jumping though....

    EPIC DAY to remember!!!!!

Should have got out earlier but the soccer game went into overtime!

Very powered on the 8m at first then it got gusty, jerky and not very comfortable so decided I had had enough. How many days in a row has it been anyway?

More to come today and then off to that secret lake up north island.

Oh, by the way, does anyone know if Grant Watson has his pilots license, lol!! Couldn't tell if that was the space shuttle launch or just Grant!

    Lots of windsurfers out today.

Suddenly I'm overpowered :o ! headed for the beach quivering like a jellyfish (the white ones). Out on the 5.3 and Kombat95 and in minutes I'm overpowered again . I outhauled the sail so flat Mick Fleetwood could play it. Still overpowered! Beautiful overpowered 4.7. Worked some of the cobwebs off and hucked till I couldn't sheet in any more. So nice to sail with the crew again. Kus was spinning backies like a madman, BWD was shuving his way closer to full on shuvits, RD was skying some good air, Bryan was Vulcaning on the inside and tossing some solid loops, and the rest of the boys were ripping it up. A great gordo's welcome home session! Beers with da boys at the 17 mile pub goooooood. God I love windyboardingsailing.

At about 5 it cranked up hard to about 30+ kts. Stayed on the water until 7:30pm totally lit the whole time. That’s 4 days in a row on the Kombat and 5.3. :D :D :D :D

Less kick to the wind in the am even with a huge fogbank on the lake. Although slower to start than previous two days it gradually built throughout the afternoon til 6 pm when it must have been blowing over 30. Sailed mid-afternoon on 4.9m hoping for it to build which it did as soon as we started pcking up.......I think I'm becoming a bit of a wind snob......Carve 99 and larger sails in storage!!!!!

Wind dropped some about 15 minutes after we headed out, forcing us to stay outside. After 20 minutes or so, filled in to the beach and the clean waves inside made for perfect lauch ramps and back-roll set ups. At the end, wind came up even higher (over 20?) and there were a few pockets of lift to make it the perfect finish ... (more)

Wicked day for me. :D :D A bit out of practice for that kind of sailing but got into a nice groove eventually. The 5.4 was way big on the outside but manageable everywhere else. Had a blast sailing in the giant swells and learning to wave ride. Also focused on sheeting in for jumps and that made a huge difference. Hit some wicked steep ramps today that were easily 5-6ft. and I landed most of them. I even managed to launch some really nice port jumps which is rare for me. It was fun sailing down a huge wav ... :D Nothing like 5 out 7 days sailing to get me back in shape and lose 5-10 lbs. Started out really windy on the outside and almost zero inside. I didn't want to swim or use the big sail so I waited a couple of hours till the slog wasn't so long. Eventually got out on the Acid but by that time I was wishing I had my 4.0. Quit at 6:30 just as the strong wind finally came right in to the beach. BWD picked a good time to come home.WINDDOC get well soon - it might be windy all week!

Like Martin said, Classic Gordons. :D Rigged big, cause it was light inside, but it was fully nukin on the outside. The 5.4 made for some really floaty wound out jumps  . Generally smooth textured swells...
