Super fun and well worth the drive from the harbour city. A little punchy but mostly well done to over on the 4.2. Definitely 3.7able for the last half hour and swells got bigger and smoother. A couple of nice big tabletops, put a bunch of back loops down to every part of my body except my feet, and got stoked up enought to do one (I think endo) forward to the waterstart position. Had to let go to fist pump the air I was so happy! Got bucked off on one beach side gybe and did a bizarre helmet-first torpedo ... (more)

Da four-oh was da weapon of choice today. Pretty windy at times, could have had more consistant swell, but had a few that were good for a half dozen turns over the reef. Air Time - Good. Back loop attempts - Ugly.

Absolutely done by the end of the sesh - overheated and dehydrated. All an all a pretty classic day.

A good long outing. It sure is great to have a big wave board. The wind ranged from light 12kts to 30kts in the squalls. Dunkinguy and Ozy givin' er with nice forwards and backs. GrantM ripping up every wave.

The wind gradually increased over the session until it shut off at 6:30, then it returned as we all packed up. Got some half decent rides but was hoping for bigger waves. Good times...addictive...need more. Body hurts.

First day on the new stick. Loved it A LOT :D :D :D and a couple of thousands more! It feels great, like a skate board! Planes quick, stays on the plane, jibes like on butter, turny, responsive, perfectly balanced. The day was to test it all from underpowered to waaaaay overpowered. If I were allowed to have just one board that would be it!

Had a few duck jibes, a hundred of tack attempts ( finished three ), few wave rides, and an ankle twister when the wave I were on ( backside ) closed up with my b ... (more)

Up and down and gusty, but FUN flatwater blasting. Went from slogging or even falling in with NOTHING, to way, way OP on superflat 5.8, turning downwind and hanging in harness and going like lightning, and still starting to tailwalk, scary but FUN. Sadly, this pathetic session was probably one of my better sessions at Jordan River. I've had way better waves, (Knee to waist high wind waves) today and I've had way more wind, but all in all it was just kind of mellow and fun. Ozzy called it the amusement park; I like that. Lots of slogging, but the wind ramped up to about 20-25 for 20 minutes or so today and this was enough to make the day. Good sailing with the Law. ENDO and Naish were representing for Cowichan Canine today.

Tammy was out on the 8m, and came in very powered just as I was Launching. Hats off to her. I was very overpowered. I lost my board on a jump and just couldn't get back to it. As i got close to shore, I used the safety and swam in. Looking at the wind graphs, I see gusts of 40 knots at Ogden at the time I was out, with wind speed of around 30. Can't wait for the 7m ONE, I'm sure that it would have been nice and comfortable. Asscrack kindly helped me sort out my lines afterward-Thanks.

Damn song stuck in my head the whole day  A bit of everything -- Solid wind, holy wind, a bit gusty, some great swell, some bad chop, some steep chop for forwards. Great turnout. Lots of happy faces.

Then it let up to 6-8kts for 30mins....then back to 10-15kts for the last hour. Sailed with BigD and it was marginal for him. What a difference the Formula board and 70cm fin make. I got the 5 pm reports and it was only 10-15 kts. around Vict. so the race was on to Sooke. It was really powered up 4.7 when I arrived but by the time I was ready it was nukin, so after a few runs OP'd I rigged the 4.0 just as the day shift was punching out. Great jumping conditions and big rollers on the inside. Thanks Mark for keeping me company.

Finally.....1st time sailing since Oct. for me. An awesome Harrison flat water ripping day. 8 sailors and 2 kiters out on the water. Snow is still on the mountains, epic scenery. And the new 2006 Ezzy Infinity is sweet....orange and black sail....approx. 5 people commented on how sweet the new Ezzy looked on the water. I was overpowered in the gusts, made lots of jibes. Cold on the bare feet. Great first day for 06.

A nice, relaxing early season day with sun, warmth and cruising formula conditions. Ventured out with the Carve 111 once, but the soft middle of the lake sent me back for flotation.....
