:D   I wasn't expecting to get out this week - Things were decent for half the session, then got really gusty at the end. Thanks to all the online advice on tuttle fin box repair. I held the 7.5 with a 54 cm fin for a few reaches on the Go, under "rather heavy loading" - all stayed in place and the repair is sound.... The West System Epoxies worked great!!! :D :D :D

 First post Brasil session. From wearing only board shorts to wearing TWO wetsuits. Took Nic's 12m Naish in trade for my 10m OR, as the wind dropped. But then it came back, up and down and a damn site different from Brasil. Came in and my fingers SCREAMED in pain for a full 5 minutes. What in God's name was I thinking?

Still fighting with the trim, and where to have it..

    This kite fly's so differently.

Had to relaunch off the water for the first time.

It popped back up so fast, I was flabber-gasted

The more I fly this kite the more I love it.

Ended the session, because wind died. Kite fell

out of the sky. Thank goodness I was close to shore.

The water was smooth like glass but it was 14 knots at kite level. It was like waterskiing. Then it picked up fast to 25 herring spawns. Came in and switched kites down after some big jumps and lots of backs, then the wind died in minutes and I swam in surrounded by herring-feasting seals and lions for 20 mins or so. I always like getting that added aerobic bonus esp when the wind goes due offshore. The seals are bloated with herring and barely notice when you skim over them.

Great day at Cent. Way overpowered of the 4.7. Could easily have gone 3.7 but 4.7 provided more interest in the way of adrenaline!! Killer starboard jumping ramps today. One of the few days I can say I'd have rather sailed in the lower mainland than on the island!!

Well, noted drop since 4am but thought I'd still try dawnpatrol b4 work, on water by 6:50; suckage w/smaller board so out comes Jesus, nice few runs, after brief break Mark showed & it still looked 4.2 way out but just didn't come in; few more hops/runs & had to come in to rerig, one run out to wash the 5.2 & she was done....MF4 had pulled into the lot w/his 7.5, I never had a chance  :P

Fun session on the 4.5 with da boyz. Mostly underpowered; should have rigged the 5.0. Morewind, RD, and the Law all slashing and owning it - at least until Grant showed up to lacerate the inside swell. Wingnut arrived late and practiced rigging his 4.7 and putting on his drysuit. I think the conditions were a bit too radical for him though 'cause he left soon after he arrived

Gusty willows session. Working on vulcans and spocky type things (some of my vulcans are now spinning me into semi-spocks). Trying to carry more speed into them. Getting closer!

Art, ULR & I about to give up & head to Willows as it started picking up nicely. Rigged 3.7 as it started really cookin', by time I got it near water, it had dropped bigtime. ULR on 4.5 & happy for 1hr. Couldn't switch boards fast enough to keep up w/ wind, decent 20 min on EVO w/ waves, then crap thereafter. Few decent waverides :P tons of junk in water  got worked in current near reef ending session

Sail 5 Wave 3-9 Jump 1 checked Willows to watch it gust :x hot tub bound :!:
