:D A nice Saturday session in the sun. Looked like it would be a 9.8 day, but things picked up a bit.... At times too light for the Carve, so more time on FE. Herring fishery in this weekend, but only a Coast guard boat moored in the bay during the session.... :D :D :D

:( Came over the hill and yelled 'YAHOO!' the wind was perfect, probably 15kts on the outside, sunny and warm....finally!! Got to the beach and it looked lighter on the inside but outside was solid 15kts. 2 or 3 kites started ripping out and back. It felt good and with the solid 15kt forcast for the entire afternoon I figured rig the 8.5m and get out there quick. Well..as soon as I got rigged and down to the beach....jumped up on the board, looked lighter all of a sudden, kites were coming in....I thought H ... (more)

the whole last week was just a warm up for today. finally the waves decreased so you could sail out without getting smashed, and the gusty winds filled in. 4.7 SE wave and JP FSW 8?. you know when you picture yourself sailing in maui you are perfectly powered, gliding down a big wave into a nice bottom turn, wearing your shorts and rashie and loving life, well today was that day. :D

Carboncopy of yesterday -2-4kn & weather amazing, sunny, warm, waistdeep water, but.....kinda boring after that early bird sesh  Few nice ramps/jumps, hardly got wet, leaving killer switch-stance alone for a bit  Nice to sail in the sun though, man I missed that :!:

Okay session but wind too offshore (dangerous self launching wind!). Perfect glassy waves on the inside but no wind to ride em. The 14m Diablo has an awesome top end as it was probably gusting to 25 at times. Also boosted some nice ones which surprised me for a 14. Jens was out too. :)

Almost went to IV but it looked light and holey on the inside, so I went to Willows instead. It was 4.0 - 5.6 when I got there but after 20 min it got more solid. Unfortunately the wind was straight onshore- not my fave direction, but I was very powered up on the 4.0 most of the time. Hopefully I'll be getting more than one session every four weeks from here on. :)

Joined the dawn patrollers a bit late. Morewind and BWD already out. Lumpy conditions improved after MW and BWD left. Thanks guys! RD showed up followed by the Law who still got some tasty morsels on his 4.2. Had some fun ramps for both forwards and backs in the middle of the session when conditions improved. I think this is the first time I've said "Glad I didn't go to CB!".

Mellow 5.0 for first 45 minutes, then solidly powered 5.0 with heavy tide action, then mellow 5.0 again. Tough to point today on the small gear. Nice to get out in warmer conditions.

:D Fun session. Not too cold. On the water by 11:30am, it was 60/40 planing to schloggin but lots of fun and fitness!! Raced by a few sailboats which were everywhere. Windier on the outsite but also alot more chop. Pretty flat and gusty on the inside. Good fun but shoulda rigged the 10.0m but thought it would come up more. Silly Wabbit!!

Killer day at the point. It's the third 4.7/4.2 day I've had there in the last two weeks which is really rare for this place. I sailed by myself for two hours untill everyone showed up at noon. Too cold though... evry time I fell in I emerged with a nasty ice cream headache!!

after spending a few days working my tail off in the mountains its a great feeling to head out on the victoria waterfront for some kiting in the sun. low tide made for some breaking waves on one of the reefs. i came in about 15 min before the wind died, i was watching the flag constantly. the wind went from 20-30 wsw to 5-10 from the east in about twenty mins.
