Nice water, sun, flat sailing sesh. Nailing those heli's, spraying jetskiers who were muddying the few wavelets there were and generally being annoying & stinky. Powerboaters not slowing down aiming at the tails of boards, purposefully gybed right in front of one w/ intention to freak, I succeeded  . Man is it shallow at the Hotel   , sailed there forever and never knew that. PneumoniaDood7's & Sprogg7's out sailing 8)

:D Decided to go there early when I saw the pressure gradient shooting upwards - turned out to be a good decision. Could've been on my 4.0 right from the start but I had rigged the 4.7 so I sailed that for 30 min. really powered on the outside and then rigged down. Sailed the 4.0 for the first time and loved it! Sweet handling and surprisingly good low end power. This was def. the windiest Gordo's day for me this year. There was a very strong ebb which kind of messed up the waves but lots of fun anyway. Got all giddy seeing the Sooke basin all frothy. Arrived at G's to find the boyz (and girlz) flattening their 4.2s and 4.7s. Yeah ! Windiest day at Gordo's for me this year, but small chop. Tried lots of forwards, was tring to summon the nerve to toss more on port. No dice, feeling rusty. Good to feel the stoke again.

an awesome time on the water! my favorite thing - going for height :) wind was good, but not spectacular. Some holes in it, but no complaints overall. In fact, it was very lifty, and made it easy to get pretty high.

The OR 12 with the shorter lines worked really well. Nice to see JL out at Cook, and really cool seeing Ross and Richard out on the new proto OR. That thing looked Smooooth!

Wind was ok until that final gust came through that may have been 30 knots plus. Enough to teabag me and force me i ... (more)

Per iWindsurf it was hitting 24!!. Rigged the 6.9 flat and loose (8.5 and 6.9 was all I brought) and hung on. That 142L can handle any wind. KUS was there too ripping fast on his 6.0.....saw a couple of helis from him. Water was super warm today. Made sure I kept a constant watch for boats (lots). The wind died around 6:3 ... (more)

Dawn Patrol. Hit Stevenson at 0730. Was the second guy on the water. I attempted to hang on to the 5.8/99 but was sent home flying. Grabbed the 80/5.2. Took a while to get everything dialed in but turned out to be a great day considering it was easterly. Gman was too lazy to down size so he flattened out his 5.8 and put the small fin on. G was on fire. Making all his jibes and ripping. Grumpy almost died on my 5.8 and was a little apprehensive to come back out but the wind dropped a bit and he ended up havi ... (more)

:o The images showed a clear day, with a marginal fog bank, and with a slight N pressure slope. After a morning at the employment place, a 2 hr drive was rewarded with some excellent light wind sailing. Fully 7.5 for most of the day, although some of the better sailors were undoubtedly out with their 6.2's  . Jibing the 7.5 with a big fin has made progress ~30% success. The 7 body position improved my sailing (thanks MB). A great day, and I might add a great 55th day for TOW this year!!! :) :) ... (more)

Well, came out of retirement (over a year since I was on the water) for three great days at Nitinat. Arrived Sunday about 3:30, the wind was just coming up. Went out on a 6.0 perfect. Woke up on Monday, the wind started to blow early. Sailed till I couldn't sail anymore. Only four kites and a handful of windsurfers. Tuesday got out on my 6.0 about noon, sailed until four. Got a bit of a 5.0 session in around 3:00 but it backed off. All in all great to be back at the lake, especially without the crow ... (more)

Arrrrgh! It's 2 am on Sunday morning. There is a big party near the loop. Can't sleep. The bass line in the music(?) is vibrating my tent. I don't mind a good party but do ya have to hoot and holler? AT 4am it finally ends! Sunday am is cloudy with just a few signs of blue sky above.
