    flat, boat chop
2.50 hours JP FreeRace (Wood) 142L
    Ezzy Infinity 8.5
On the water by 5:45pm, only 3 guys out. Steady 15+ and flat water, setting sun, shorty wetsuit, fresh water, perfect set up for the FreeRace and 8.5M. Back and forth racing with some guy on a Formula and 8.0M, everything was perfectly balanced and effortless, by 7:00 pm not many boats left on the lake and it became really really flat and fast, awesome for jibes. Came off the water at 8:15 pm. Sweet big gear session. :D

    Ocean Rodeo Bronco 9m
classic 9m Nitinat - with loads of lift. Robbie Scott going huge on his 9 inspired me to try harder. Grant had an awesome session on his 8m. Wind was NOT smooth, but very challenging and gusty.Think we might splurge for the 8m and 10m for Baja given what I saw this weekend...

Day 3 at the jetty. Lots of sand everywhere, in teeth, van. Marine forecast is a broken record - more 25 knots from the north.

Got on the water around 4pm once a fog bank burned off. More wicked wave riding. Head+ high. Not too big, but big enough. Got better at smacking the lip, and wave selection. What a session :D

    Severne Overdrive 8.5
Arrived at 2:30pm ish and it was blowing 15-18kts...nice enough then BOOM!! It's blowing 20-25 and I'm trying to hold down an 8.0m NCX with the Carve 121 and 38cm drake fin. Too much so I whacked Casey Sevens and took his Ezzy 6.9m for a rip!! Much better size but wasn't set up for me so came back in and we called it a short session with nothing broken in pretty crazy conditions. Looking at Iwindsurf when we got back it was blowing 20-25 gusting almost to 30.....YAHOO!!

    smooth, sm breaking waves
    5.00 hours Hana Crew 135x40
    Windwing Rapture 12
South Chesterman beach. Wind picked up at 10. On water by 10:45 until 1:00. Became overpowered on the 12m. Sweet 1-2 foot wrap around swell comes into the beach, otherwise water is smooth. Very fast runs down the beach carving in waves, and jump ramps on the way out. Konabud et al showed up at 1:00. Wind died, I joined Mark at N Chesterman but it was too light. About to leave and wind came up again at 6:00. Rode from 6:30 to 8:45, wind was way steadier and even more fun !! Then hit Nitinat on Tuesday.

Weird. Went out for 30 minutes, then the bubble arrived, landed my kite. The wind came in again about 20 minutes later. Nice conditions, then it bubbled again. There were 2 of us out. Landed a jump and tried to get going again and the wind went completely dead. Both kites just dropped. A pleasent swim back to shore. Spent more time untangling my lines than sailing.

Over powered. At Harrison. One of the best days I've seen there. Sunny and hot and windy. Sailed with Bobson....couldn't hang onto the 6.9 for more than an hour. Was scary at times...but good practice sailing overpowered. Per iWindsurf it peaked at 28 late afternoon. Not enough time to re-rig smaller. Maybe tomorrow again.

The lake blew early. I was sloggin' around at 10:30 and fully powered on the 5.8 by 11:00, 5.0 by 1:00. Some fun little chop hopping and big sweeping jibes by the beach. After a hundred attempted carving 360s I can still only get 3/4 of the way around before stalling or getting pushed over. More TOW is in order.

The Sherringham report looked smooth but the wind was pretty gusty with lulls. Lots of wood and seaweed in the water (unusual for Gordos). Nice swell rolling through at times. The windsurfers finally got a powered-up day they deserve! Waited and waited to see when Grant W would come off the water but he was relentles! Huge air and smooth turns Grant! JL, thanks for the launch and landing assistance! A great day! :D

Tired out after a loooong sunny afternoon, couldda run 5.4 most of day. Not much garbage and there was actually TP in the outhouse, small miracles. Woke up on the jetty to another fine coast morning. headed into town with the gang for breakfast at a greasy spoon. Wind was slower to rise today, and lighter than yesterday. Many good rides, big jumps. Got worked a few times in the rinse cycles.

But, overall, a sobering day. A windsurfer, late 40/early 50s died. Body and gear got washed up a short distance downwind of the jetty. Lots of emergency vehicles, but sadly he sould not be revived.

Light on the inside and dumpy with short rides. While waiting on the beach to go out some emergancy vehicle arrived. Found out a guys windsurfing gear washed up down the beach with no owner. They found the body a little while later - scary. Not sure how he died, either a heart attack or hit on the head. Anyway we all got a little shaken up. Wearing the helmet now.
