3rd sesh in 3 days  About 1/2 time nicely powered, but other half gusty, OP at times with full 7.5, crash on OP jibe then not enough wind to waterstart, wait 5 min for gust to go, then OP again. Fun to be on the water, me only poleskipper, 4-5 kites at any one time. No planing jibes (2 close), about 3/4 stay-dry.

Most of the day there was not enough wind for my gear... got on the water around 3:00 for about 45 mins. At one point found myself at the other side of the lake in pouring rain wondering if the wind would die while I was out there! Sailed the squalls.

It’s overcast this morning and there are squalls blowing through from the end of the lake. Every once and a while there is a small patch of filtered sunshine showing through. There is lots of wind for a 7.5 I hit the water at about 12:30pm after I patched the blisters on my hands. It was gusty all day with squalls coming down the lake in waves. There were 4 of us big sail GO-boarders on the water having a blast! The wind cranked up at about 2:30-3 and I switched to the 121 and 6.2 and got about an ho ... (more)

Mighta had a chance either earlier or later, way it was a bit of a waste (dinner date); made two attempts to sail rather than watch, claims to fame on this lame day: 100% on turns 1st round, tack, helitack (been a while), gybe, back in, two mast uphauls in zilch wind. Egged MF4 on sufficiently to entice him out. Planed both ways, kelp hell kept me from getting to Clover into the windline. Note to self: Next time launch from Clover or Harling.

mostly couples kiting today - joe and ci, tam and ger, and kitesistah and me! Nicole too, showing us how it's done. Missed the really strong early winds all day (suprise surprise) but got some good steady and pretty strong stuff around the corner. Wind was all aloft - almost nada on the water. Two days in a row for the first time in a while. :)

Ci had a great session too (doesn't talk much about windsurfing anymore). Next time I'm gona follow KSKK and Mrs. KSKK to the lee side of Clover Point for some flat water.

Made about 75% jibes dry, none planed through, some all flare, some 1/2 planing and end in a flare. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :D

And thanks to my 86 year old mother for helping me carry gear up the stairs (she made two trips!) (It was voluntary, it really was  )

Kite flies fast thru the window and has sensitive angle of attack adjustment when sheeting. Sunshine, whitecaps, turqoise water, small reef break ..... Life is great :D

It’s 9am and the wind is already blowing from the west. Maybe a frontal push. The weather forecast sounded depressing. Cloudy with showers, but I can see some blue sky overhead. I’m optimistic! At about 1:30 I got on the water on the 7.5 and GO. The wind was a little erratic but stayed through most of the day and I caught the last few puffs at about 5:30pm. Have been practicing clew first water starts and clew first sailing and am starting to get the hang of it. TOW: 4 hours. Not bad for a gre ... (more)

Finally wet after long drought. Got to Cook late after dinner (and after getting there at 5:30 sans masts  ) wind dropping and tried big sail, small board combo. Didn't change up fins, small fin a little tender but worked, stayed upwind, just. Outside was nice but I didn't want to end up swimming in the dark, so stayed close in second run. Short sesh, no jibes made. Met Graham for first time.

Got there late just as the wind was dropping (work sucks). Rigged the 5.6 and waited on the beach for 45 min. while there was a huge hole on the inside due to south wind. Almost gave up but then the wind went west and filled in to shore. Could've used a 4.7 at times. Nice ramps 1/4 mi. out but ugly chop in places. Wish I could have been at Gordo's.

Unfortunately, I was way overpowered once I got out there but I had a few rips anyway. Still need a good 4 hour high winder to quell the addiction

Came late rigged up 4.5, by the time I was done rigging the wind has died, so I rigged 5.5, and it didn't help much :? The only reason to put this session in is that I tried quite a number of tacks one was kinda successful.

    Ocean Rodeo Punch-Out bar
A very short session. The wind was really dirty for kiting. Trimmed the Ocean Rodeo 9M for full power. One instant good power, the next, sinking the board and just trying to keep the kite flying. It was OK but after several great days I can be picky. Finally a good day for the windsurfers, after they slogged to the outside (looked like 2-3 km from shore). Too far for me and a kite!!!

Great day! HUGE wind shadow. Felt a little sloppy but forced myslef to try one forward - ragdoll catapult. Most fun was slashing and carving it up on the swell way way out with the Vic crew.

Sweet session with Winddoc, Bean, Pastadude and Mark, way way on the outside. Out well past the lighthouse. Nice steady wind and good sized swells. A few back loop attempts and lots of port jumps and swell rides. Had a huge slog back to the beach at the end.
