Beautiful! On the water by noon ripping. Rigged down to 4.7 around 3 and blasted till we got blown of the water at 5ish. Good to rip around in warm water with Patches. Lots of planing jibes, some jumps & yard sales, carving on the nice rolling swell downwind a bit. Great day...

My first entry in this site and my first sail of the year. Grabbed Downwind Dave for a quick sesh on Nitinat and got to use my beloved gear. We had limited sailing time but used it all doing our version of slam head in water freestyle. Tried to remember how to carve-gybe, duck-gybe, sail-body 360s; double ducks and forward loops. Sad to say that of all those - perhaps my forwards are the least crappy. Truly I have stagnated. Was inspired by duncanguy and downwind Dave tossing Vulcans all over the place ... (more)

By this time Tall Ship crowd gathered on top of the c ... (more)

a day to break in the new board. slashy for a 100L board. My younger twin brothers were out ripping as well, doing real well given how little chance they have to get on the water.

Decent start, HORRENDOUS 1+ hr, then came in great, not much juice left tho. Talk about having demodays at wrong venue, kazillion people for tallships watch kiters/wsurfers, like an anthill :!: No way u'd have this many @ PWA event. Working too small&too big boards, right one epoxying in garage  Sailed OP late not wanting to work, mega speedruns, barely avoided one catastrophe tailwalk  Lots floaty airs.Good crowd, Ruskie, Doc, Bear, Dave, usual kitecrew.

UGLY wind and water for 1st hour and a half. Never sailed with that much current before. Cleaned up later and much hate was hucked. Landed 2 backloops, lots of forwards. Neck hooped from unknown cause.
