Fun session. Patience paid off. By the end of it could be on 4.5 and the small board. Nice jumps, lots of tack attempts (unsuccessful), didn't try anything special today just getting back into the groove.

Freaking seaweed spoiled it a little. Other than that it was great.

Wind finally came up enough after hanging out on the cliff for a few hours. Plenty of wind, could have been on the 4.5/Evo. Swell kicked up for a little while and I got some good little rides near the outer reef. One nice port jump back onto the wave. Then it got choppy near the end. Not too hateful today.

Nice session - big waves to ride out there. :) Beautiful sunny and powered up. Huge Air!! [/color:c66efae3e7][/size:c66efae3e7]Ripped panel out of 5.5 - took it as a clue that I was way overpowered.

Rigged 4.7 and went out for 1/2 hour and wind got sucked up by big black cloud. Sailed with 2 guys - not sure who they were?

    Nice kiting JL!

Started at Noon at 12-15 then it was 15-20kts from 1-3 when my mast foot broke and I have to leave......Can't wait to race again. That was the best jibe practice I've had......I had one planing jibe....just barely but I think it counts.....practice, practice, practice....I'm going to be carving jibes all summer until they are all rippin and zippin without the stand still a ... got out somewhere new with good friends, and that is the highlight for me. :D quite cool out on the west coast compared to Cook, however, very nice to sail a new spot. Also learned not what to do etiquette wise...

wind dropped to around 14-16 for the second half of the session.

Almost too tired to sail, but felt OK by 12 when the wind got up. Sailed a couple of slalom races against Bobson and Dallas; really fun, even though I lost/2nd. At one point Bobson was 1/4 of the lake or more ahead and blew his jibe spectacularly, board sailing itself way downwind and Rob trying to set an Olympic freestyle record going after it - I thought "I've got him now" and did till I blew my jibe too! Arms gave out very quickly pumping after yesterday. Would have been better fully powered a little ... (more)
