Two sessions today. Caught a late lunch break session from 2-3pm. Some fun over the sandbar. Went back for another after work. Footstrap screw came out; had to land and fix the problem. Went back out and the wind went wacky and lightened up. The first session fun, the second session just exercise.

It was suprising to sail the Go in waves that size - used a 33cm fin, and it was actually a blast. Some air time (well a foot or two..... :D ). Two successful planing jibes in the waves, and much better than sitting on the beach looking out and wondering. :D :o

3 days in a row! And my 50th log entry  All a little underpowered, but after a long drought, shouldn't complain. Looked windier than it was, 25 kt at Kelp, but not at IV, some decent swell. Just powered for 1/3 of the time. One small jump on the bar :P spun out on landing  but didn't fall :) A couple of short wave rides. Want more! Glad to make some dry jibes in the big sloppy chop/swell on outside!

6.0 Retro initiated in great fashion, powered 2 hrs, then had to look in Port Angeles for waves/wind - afterwork crowd killed it! Fair amount crap in water, watched rescue of rescue boat, quite a show! Some good highspeed airs, tweaking sail setup, couple of reasonable duckgybes, never been out further than today. Mark rode shotgun for a while, later got lonely out there by myself, didn't wanna spend the nite so came in.

Woodfest at first and not bad wind for about an hour then it got light. Fun to be out there but expected a little more. A few vulcan attempts, upwind 360, Hoss and reg tacks. Mostly fun except when some crazy guy on a Sailworks and a big yellow board almost ran over me.

Another slalom day. Not as much fun as the last one though as it was a wee bit gusty today. Probably would have floated through the holes a bit better on my bigger board but I left it at home :(

It filled in nicely just after 5pm for about 40 mins. I had some nice lit up reaches and practiced my high speed jibes. CAn't wait for some STEADY wind at Nitinat :D

What a blast :!: Cook delivered a big afternoon. Highlights were a good amount of wood in the water, and a diverse selection of fin grabbing vegetation. Started on the 5.0, sailed for a bit. Some helis, and downwind 360s. should have rigged up to the 6.4, but laziness took over and it became too damn comfortable being a spectator. Some guy with an ezzy sail tried a maneouver in front of me and nearly took me out - didn't get the plate number.

Dropped just enough to not need to rerig or downhaul more, got by with tighter outhaul. Wind dropped really fast about 7:30, packed it in myself.

Putting in more time on the light wind board. I have been missing the wind lately so this was a great session. I was fully lit and the gusts helped me gain speed to plane right up to the beach.

I used the free shower at the beach, which made me feel like I was at a day spa with all the modern conviences (paved parking lot, shower) and the warmth of the sun (compared to a month ago). Oh, forgot to mention that I had two beautiful female gear sherpas carring my equipment to the beach and back.
