Caught the best of the wind, about 10 minutes of powered/overpowered planing. Couple of good gybes. 37 kmph max, 8.6 km sailed. Nasty 'pop' sound carrying rig up the stairs, put elbow through panel

Weird morning. It was super gusty and turned NW for a bit. One of those days where whatever size kite you were on was the right size for 30 minutes. The gusts were fully lit on the 14 m. Unfortunately I wrenched my knee(hopefully it will sort itself out) Nice and sunny.

Another great day at CB. 1/2 hr on the 4.5, then it cranked. OP for a while on the 4.0 then it mellowed a bit. Lots of good waverides with some good slashes and mini aerials. My arms are dead today. Two good backloop attempts. Winddoc was doing many fabulous backloops.

9 day outlook is for high pressure and sun  Hopefully it's not the end of SE's for the season.

other than that, (and getting beat up on the rocks in high tide early on) it was a pretty good day overall.

An hour of 5.0 in nice waist to shoulder high stuff then the sea got angry and I was OP on the 4.2 going down the line on some head high sets. First tail-slides on cutbacks - very fun. UNBELIEVABLE DAY. Couple of back loops - too scary for forwards. Glad to have the brain bucket on when my board flipped over and nailed me in the head on a wipeout.

Well it wasn't 30 knots but it was still fun. I was well powered on my 5.4 for most of the session. MOre wind outside the bay. Couple of nice jumps, jibes getting there. Big bubble near shore made it a slog to the wind. Just myself and Johnny until others joined in late afternoon. COLD and rainy took away from the epic factor. Bring on the warm weather :D

Got to bed sick or go sailing? I thought "I'll take it real slow" and found a little adreneline cuts all the symptoms! Best I'd felt all week and best fun I've ever had in Bazan - wind was a bit gusty and some dead holes, but planing every run, sometimes all the way down the bay. Almost Nitinat conditions at times. When the wind was up some of the chop started to smooth out and get better spaced, then fun slalom-type blasting. Would have been a real blast on a 100 l board. 28 km sailed, finally over ... (more)

Without a long drive I had a very good, but short session. If it had been just 15 min it still would make my day :D. I went for a FL and it wasn't scary, just jump and sheet in. Too bad I didn't have may back hand back enough.

"Woo hooo, let's do it again!!!!"

Also a couple of wave rides were just a toppings on the cake.

Worth the drive! Big swell, strong wind. Overpowered much of the session. One forward, lots of backloops. Hands were too numb to hang on to most of the landings. Had some good smacks and got smacked a few times. Saw Dave launch a great backloop into a nose first landing, but he couldn't quite pull it off. Close!

I was impressed with Alex and Mattdog riding a 7.5 kite in the peak winds!

First day using the Martin strap system. Super comfy and easy to adjust. Worked especially well with booties.

Best ever IV session. Perfect windstrenth for the 9m(except towards the end, the gusts got a little out of hand). Nice swell on the outside and well formed waves on thesandbank. It just got better and better. You could actually ride the waves and not worry about being pulled onto shore through a bunch of logs.

Nice little session. Showed up just before 1pm and it was absolutely honkin'. Kus was out on his small board so I knew it was windy. I rigged a 4.8 as it's the smallest sail I own. I was overpowered but it was manageable. It died off for a while and then came back to a nice 5.0 for about an hour. Sailed out past Cattle Point and found some nice steep ramps. Jibes were OK today. A bit gusty but otherwise a fun, sunny session.

:P Fun session! Started early to catch the Ebb & sand bar action. Found a rock landing from an inadvertant jump on 16 M...Joining team 'advil' !!! Rigged the 12 M & raced out to the sand bar..Pumped for power & ended up going into a 1 handed back splat! Good clean fun..Great swell breaking @ the outer sand bar..Fun wave rides...Notes: 1.Time to learn toe-side for the big smack!.2..Keep hands on bar!!!!! 3...Keep advil in the van!!! 4. .8 Meter tide @ Saanichton bay is perfect (currently) for out ... Nice for the 1st 1.5 hours. The current allowed you to go wherever you wanted to. Nothing amazing in this session, exept it was good to have a decent length session again. The later crowd missed it as it was almost impossible to stay upwind with the strong current on the incomming tide.
