Rare second session. Thought I'd get some flat water gybe practice in at Willows or even the wing if the wind was less. It was so gusty and shifty it was virtually unsailable. Wind was vortexing through about 120 degrees. I was over by Jimmy Chicken and having no issues other than flagging the sail all the way out and trying to stay foiling when a gust I didn't see coming hit from behind and powered the sail and lofted me and the board. NW wind came up later this afternoon at Savary Island. Straight on shore and lots of weeds, but the water was warm, and there was decent swell running. Pretty fun dodging around the boats and trying a new spot. Wind is supposed to stick around for tomorrow too. Looks like everybody scored RB today, so this session helps my FOMO a little.

Wow, that was quite the blow! Should have rigged the 3.7, the 4.0 was too much even flattened right out. Made do with sailing the inside, getting into the edge of the bigger stuff, avoiding the big breaking mackers further out. Got flung 3 or 4 times some reaches. Didn't even try and jibe outside, just did a controlled fall keeping the sail flying and waterstarted the other way. A handful of those was enough. This was one of the more serious high intensity surf sessions I have ever had at Ross Bay. Strong consistent wind. Big, fast rolling sets. I got there reaching for the 5m. Changed my mind before going in and took out the 4m. Came back in 20 minutes to grab the 3m. That was more than enough for the remainder of the session. Several of the most intense swell riding experiences I have ever had. Fast and steep.

On the water just before 11am. 100kms travelled today. Cloudy with a bit of mist at times. Not many out on the water. Mostly 12-15kts today. To a break at lunch to walk the 20 mins to the Yurt for internet access as there is t any at the campsite for the last 2 days. Forecast for rest of the week looks good. Here for another week. Might have to start trying some tricks. Maybe'.? Slickmick and Stephan here at the lake today. Fun to sail with peeps you know.

At my upper limit and overpowered at times on my 7m, went for the the surfboard which I haven't been on for a while. Thanks to Clive for helping me get down to the water. After spending time on the Ross bay side decided to hunt for waves around Cook. Ending up spending a lot more time on the water than expected, even though the wind was strong it was consistent. Lots of people out.

Repeat, sort of. Wind was similar and workable. Waves were more of a mixed bag with lullage (and some of the smaller waves got away) and sets of 10+ south swell ' oh yeah! More competition tonight with kites, wings and windsurfers on the hunt. Goya Power 115 demo had me going more vertical on the wave and even hit a mini-aerial early on! Thanks Jesse! Arrived at Long Beach mid-afternoon, got a text from Dave that everyone was up at Chesterman. First time winging at South Chesterman, wind was light but super fun waves. Couldn't figure out why I was really struggling to get going. Pumping seemed gutless, then I noticed my wing was slowly deflating, made a beeline for the beach. Glad I made it it. Glad to be back out on the coast!!

Got an hour in the morning in 15-20 on my big board and 1100/255 foils. then it started cranking and I did another hour in the afternoon in 30kts on my 3.9m sail and 1700/330 foil. Called it a day at 6pm when it was still blowing 25kts.

A good solid hour on repaired HPS 930 before wind dropped off for an hour. Thank you for repair Marty! Finding the current really strong in the afternoons and hard to get lift in soft conditions on way back to beach. I need to work on that. Really good tracking. Some solid swells. No gybes today. Struggled. Either the conditions were really weird or I am regressing. Or both. I need some coaching I think.

A late start (5:30) as wind dropped off around 4 then came back. A knee schlog to the windline outside then it was all good. Nice day with good wind and swell. Not quite as many as normal for a sunny windy weekend but still a good crowd.

Long time not here. Early attempt took a bit of effort to plane consistently, second round best ever here. OP on both of 110/5.3, Jelly tried her 78 and on 4.7. Serious speed runs for the quad, not meant to go nor has it ever gone this fast lol. A few sail tricks from my limited repertoire were fun, great weather but sun/wind leached, pretty tired now.

Started really light and had a long slog to the wind. It was solid 15 with some biggish gradually built till the 5.0 was overhead and flagged out half the time. Got beat up for a while falling three times each reach and decided to call it. But after a few minutes I realized I wasn't that tired and it had mellowed. Almost made some gybes on the wing. Stayed dry on one with a slog in the middle. More tomorrow!

Pretty amazing session. Really powered at the start and felt like I was getting great height. Moved over to the leeward side for some flat water fun, then back over to the other side. The wind eased off a bit around 7 but looks like it's back up now.
