Just missed it. Got up foiling for one run, had to move the harness lines in new boom so came off the foil and wind died. Tried for and hour but never came back. KC7-R was out too but on smaller sail so no bueno. Came off the water and it poured for rest of the day. Thurs and Fri look more promising.

Launch at 9am on the outgoing tide. Optimistic when noted the high tide line contained piles of eel grass, unfortunately there were lots more where that came from. Eel grass, friend of fish, foe of foil!. Yet, mostly riding on foil for the session. Called it at 1030 and trudged in. One way to get your exercise.

Timed it just right, in as it was building quickly.
With the recent period of windy days, was LOTS of salad in the shore break, but once past that, all good.
Always quite surprised how little weed it takes to massively degrade the foil performance.

Surprisingly little morning romp.
Wasn't in the forecast, but as i was finishing up the bowl of fruit loops, saw a wind line coming in.
Like a little kid hurrying out to play tag, quickly got geared up and had a wing before just as quickly it went away.

Woke up to relatively calm after last night's big storm, but by noon had rebuilt. Got out just in time before the swell built and it was game on.

After yesterday's lack of power went with bigger board, bigger foil, and XPS 6.1 m for an early start. Fun foiling in around 10 knots then went way up the lake overpowered until the wind was lighter and flat. Long down winder, a few back and forths, before an afternoon session with the 3.5 m. Then back to the 6.1 m for a light evening sail (IIRC). Fun day.

Some of the lightest wind I've been able to get going in. Kalama E3 is super easy to pump and the Slingshot 6.5 wing has a ton of grunt. Pretty fatiguing holding on to such a big wing, especially pumping. Going to test out a harness setup. Fun sunny day at the beach!

Nice to be back on the coast, so refreshing after being out at the lake for a month. I had a few sessions on the lake but felt like I hadn't sailed in a long time. Started off on the DFly Surf and the WR 980 but it soon became too much. I had a session on the lake with that setup and had a blast but couldn't control it yesterday. Had the weekend booked, but decided to day trip it today with impending storm/bad weather forecast for Sun/Mon. Great call for the day, beautiful warm wind, sun. Wind was picking up just as we arrived about 12:30. Rigged the 5.5m for me and the 4m for Judy. Had about 4 reaches and we both came in to rig down, me to the 4, Judy to the 3m. Two sessions today, one with the 10m, then with the 9m. Excellent sessions. In both sessions climbed up to the hidden beach very fast by riding slow. On the 10m practiced goofy hello to toe, on the 9m regular heal to tow. Carving turns are getting better and better.
I really like my 9m kite, but the 10m is also very good. But it will have to go, too close to the 10m.

Let my other half try the XPS 3.5 m. I opted for the 3 m Slick. It was a bit light but doable, then came when she finished to grab the 3.5 m. Finished the first session then came back out with the 5 m Nexen around 6 pm. Simply not enough wind and drifted downwind with my sinker board until exiting near the windsurfers. Underpowered at the start, underpowered at the end. Not really a good idea with non-floating boards.

I tried' the wind just died on me. Used the 12 NEO SLS and the big surfboard, hoping I could get a few taks in. Unfortunately, it did not happen. It just died on me. I did make it home, and every minute on the water I learn something new.
The surfboard I used is a big thing called 'it is what it is'. It has 3 big fins on it. I am trying to use it to learn my foot swap.

Stronger than yesterday. Working my way further up the lake. How far can one go? It gets so flat. Then not sure if I'll get back on foil once it starts to wind down up there. Seemed better further up than earlier times. Late 6 pm session with 4 m trying downwind 360s, harder in waves, and not consistently hitting them. Can't even imagine trying them non-strong side. Been a while! Tried the Anchorman parachute leash for drop and ride runs. Worked great! Had a short flatwater paddle session afterwards with Sam in the residual chop and windless conditions just for the heck of it. Foil not in right spot and on last paddle-up took an awkward fall right on the rail with my ribs and paid the price. Busted at least one Mcrib and am out for a bit. Bummer! Thanks for the help loading my kit, Sam!

Only had 1 foil to choose from as i sold my bigger foil so went out even though it was very light hoping to pump up on foil. Eventually wind picked up and got in a short session before wind tanked again. Paddled in and chatted with the boys for a bit, good to get out.

Afternoon sesh with Lil'b. After we remembered to put her fin on she did much better. Ripped all the way up past the spit. Thought maybe she was headed back to vancouver without me. Lovin the Kalama E3. Tried the 6.5 Slingshot V3 for a bit. Felt manageable and had a ton of grunt. Will have to try out the low end soon.
