I was alone at cattle point as I emerged from the dark threatening ocean, (seeing as we're approaching Halloween...) The night was cold crisp and dark. The trees swayed in the wind as if summoning me with a demonic rhythm... I inched my way up the boat ramp away from the water, getting hit by gusts that would yank me closer to the tree line, bit by bit I moved closer and closer to the trees seeing no clear landing area, I knew that the deep dark forest and I would yet become aquatinted. I slowly moved towards the trees, their whispers called to me like demons summoning from beneath, the wind increased as if in unison with the whispers of the forest, my kite now appearing to be behind the trees from one angle, in what should have been a wind shadow, but not tonight... the wind increased further the gusts grew stronger, and at the last second the wind eased and I lay my kite to rest on the edge of the forest, as if the demons had said to me.... not tonight. Halloween.....
Aside from that nice session,
Although, earlier on I launched with a 12m and got down into the water in the rocks at cattle, and got lifted in a gust, as I was way overpowered, and nearly came back down on some rocks, landed right inbetween two outcroppings... otherwise my session would have definately been over, could have been alot worse.
I think next time its strong i'll definately be launching at willows. Too dangerous with all the rock at cattle.
