:!:  What can I say? Gusting to the mid 30's for sure, possibly beyond, it was survival kiting for me, though nice to be out in the sun. Used the 6.5m Free Air. Three things stick in my mind: water blowing off the top of waves so hard it felt like standing under a waterfall when I sat back; the odd huge wave breaking in the middle of freakin nowhere, washing me out like an old rag; and Johny Read going psycho high. Kudos to Dave, who was ripping it up out there, and to Grant W who was also a member of the high-jump team. Normally, there only would be the ever-psycho Vadardog out there, but for some odd reason, there were actually 6 of us kiting, plus Cammie had been out earlier (God bless her - launching everyone!). So 7 kiters on a day like this, and I have had pleasant summer evenings to myself...
