Snowing in Vancouver so I no thoughts of going out in the water at all. On the ferry it looked a little windy. Thought to myself "Nah, too cold." Driving into town I could see small whitecaps from the highway so I turned off at IV "just to check it out." Arrive at the beach and it looked good. Of course, this was the first time in 2 months that I didn't have 3 kites and 3 boards in my van! :twisted: At least I had 1 of everything in there. Slightly underpowered so it was ride and hike...but at least that kept me nice and toasty (it's far more work hiking than riding). Just as I left I took a temperature reading of the water with a digi oven thermometer... 6-7 degrees C...
