:shock: Arrrived at 2:40pm and it was already blowing 15-18kts. I figured since all I brought was the barn door and the 10.0m that I didn't want to wimp out so.....I started to rig and Kus arrived and proceeded to take out his 5.3m and 100litre board. He said Smith was dropping...well guess what....it wasn't. He got on the water first and planed right off the beach. Russian Dood arrived and said I was crazy or something in Russian...I dunno but thought I might as well give it a try. Got up and sheeted out....it wasn't sooo bad...sheeted in and started ripping!! Then saw a gust coming so I tacked and headed off across the beach...ripped across to the cattle point side.....turned around and ripped back...thought it was getting stronger so thought maybe only a couple more runs...got in 2 more runs and then ended up on the marina side with sail in the water and completely tired. Tried to waterstart and couldn't...jumped up on the board and tried to uphaul...nope! So I jumped up on my board and thought I'd wait and get blown ashore and then decide what to do. Well, wind blew me toward the rocks so I started swimming the gear away from the rocks down the beach. Made it to the outfall and walked/got worked over the outfall and over to the beach. OK, enough is enough!! Russian Dood said something in Russian and threw his hands in the air and walked away mumbling something else in Russian and something about Insane-dude....' Packed my gear up, said HEY to ULR and some other dude. At least I got out!!! I feel much better!! :D
