:D :D :D That was lotsa FUN!! First 3 hours were 50/50 planing and schlogging but from 1:30 till 2:30pm it was a blaaaast!!! Arrived at 10:30 to 6-8kts...it was quite puffy. Gusting 10-12 and then not much. Then BANG at 1:30 it picked up to 15-18 with gusts of maybe 20kts. The FE and Severne Overdrive 8.5m are the perfect match. Easy to pump up to a plane and manageable in the gusts. WOW!!! FUN :D , FUN :D , FUN :D !!
When I came off the water at 2:30(ish) BWD, MW, KUS and another poleskipper were there with 5 kites down at the kite end of things. Joe, Windependant, Penguin and a couple others. MW was going out on his nice new Ezzy Wave SE 6.0m which is looking waaay too new!! Nice looking sail dude.
All in All a great day. Good workout, no rain and lotsa fun sailing time!!
Gotta get some smaller gear to increase my TOW...HA, don't hear that too often!! :D :D :D
