Zero in town, but the cams showed some hope up the peninsula. Got to IV around 2:30 and made a quick decision to go big, not BIGSON sort of big but 6.0 type of big. Bobson was just coming off the water, looking satisfied and primed for a brew. The first 1/2hr had smooth swell :D , then it got a bit more choppy, and windier. BWD and Kus came out, BWD ripping on much smaller gear. note to self: give BWD a 40lb box of chocolates for next xmas 8) Then, a lot more windy for the last 1/2 hr. Kus went back to shore, said a few prayers, and brought out Jesus-loves-you. If it were earlier in the day I would have re-rigged to a 5.0, but decided to test out the upper end of the new 6.0 and hang on. found some steep chop and tried one forward, definitely slower rotation on the 6.0. A fun and surprise session :D
