"You'll need 4.5 for the lulls" said RD. So I rigged a 4.5 thinking "Its pretty windy", big branches sailing around off the trees. Carrying it down met RD who said "its really come up". WTH, go for a couple of runs, surprisingly big shorebreak with the sail trying to get ripped from my hands as it flogged. Waterstarted straight to the straps, but still way OP. Got tossed on one start onto the fin on my sore ribs . One nice ramp hit perfectly  (Rick saw the jump) but I didn't land it. Decided discretion was better than valor and came in, would have rigged smaller if I had time. Nice hot coffee and a cookie with Rick and Pat in the Windmobile after. Loads of felled trees, blown down fences on Pat Bay and Quale Road on the way home - one HUGE oak tree on the corner of Quale and West Saanich is no more
