Awoke to what I thought was raincloud. It turned out to be a fogbank  Wind started early and Sandra took the first session on the 5.4 and her RRD. It was her first time out in over a year so she was a bit hesitant. Once she left the beach, she was gone for about 1.5 hours. She was rippin' it up. She looked great!
Once she came in, I took the 5.4 out on my slalom board and was just screaming back and forth. Man, that board is fast  The wind kept building and the slalom board was getting a bit out of hand so I came in and grabbed the JP. Went back for another hour or so and was dialed like never before. I was hitting 95% of my jibes and tacks, carving waves, and boosting some nice lofty jumps.
The wind kept on coming so I rigged up the 4.8 and went back for more. HAd an even better session with that sail. I was in the zone. What a great feeling. Probably the best day of sailing I've ever had at Nitinat and one of my top 5 anywhere. Pristine conditions and just a handful of people out.
I sailed until I couldn't anymore. It was still blowing about 20 knots when I came in. Great night around Vic's fire with lots of new and old faces coming and going. The kids had a great time too which is a huge plus. Can't wait for more :D :D :D :D
