Hit the water as the sun was peeking out from behind the Coast Mountains - 5:45 am. Suffered through the nasty hole wondering if 5.0 was going to be enough - it was too much at times. 4.0 gusts around the point and the steepest port ramps I've ever seen. Had to slow down before hitting a couple 'cause I was scared - huge hangtime. Some big smooth sets near shore for backside slashing and smooth jibes. Sensational solo sunrise session.
