On the water by 11:30, an hour of almost solo sailing the 7.5, working on faster sail rotations, no falls and so hot I dragged a hand or foot to make some spray to cool down! Then in to the beach for a 5.8, and the "TINY" sail rotated SO fast :!: Loads of planing gybes, cruised upwind to the bay as it got busy, solo cruising practicing S-turns on the bigger waves, finally managed several chop hops, got the timing right, then back to 'glued-to-the-water-pathetic-upward-body-lurch' move. Had two blisteringly-fast downwind broad reach blasts back to the beach for lunch, much of it out of the harness and with the back leg screaming from being deeply bent for so long. Then a bunch more gybe practicing, finishing with some fun races. Wreckless Rick tried to take me out with a rugby more on the last run (no ideas now Bobson!). Transitioning to a plane after a beach start, I hear a board bearing down from upwind fast. I jumped to the straps and pumped HARD and yanked up the windward strap to turn downwind. As I accelerated, I risked a glance over my left shoulder to see WR mid-catapault, landing in my wake about 2 feet behind my back footstrap :!:  HA, you missed, Rick, I'm gone and chasing Pat who had a nice lead by then. I made a good gybe and I might have been back to the beach first that time. You were missed Bobson! We did embarrass another Formula sailor on Saturday, when everyone planed way earlier and left him wallowing. Racing is such good fun, its such a rush when there are 3 or 4 boards in a tight group. Classic Nitinat 6.0 day!
