EPIC MONDAY>>>>>Cooler today with a distinct wind line forming caps at 11 am.....this hadn't happened for a couple of weeks. Went out earlier in day and worked on my small board slogging skills......never know when those are going to come in handy. WR broke a mast on far side of lake....Murphy at work once more.....and was rescued by an unusually large robin. Thanks ULR!!

At 5pm the rest of the family, including Wreckless R, headed back to town leaving me to sail uncensored for a couple of days. Their tire dust hadn't even settled when the lake went crazy with wind. The waves on the far side reached over 6 ft! I'd never seen anything like it at Nitinat. I sailed the Surfwood 70 with the 4.2 Revo fully sheeted out and wished I owned a 3.2!! It was exhilarating to be able to sail in such conditions......surfing up waves and down into the troughs and then hitting the middle of the lake to almost overpowering wind strength with large ramps. It was all I could do to try and stick to the surface. I sheeted in over one of the smaller ramps closer to shore attempting a small conservative jump......Windsurfish told me later I was 4 ft in the air!! Landed that one too!!!! One of the very last on the water at 7:30 and it was still going nuts! What a day!!!!!!!
