Best session to date, tons of kites out. started on the directional, but after a few runs broke a footstrap. I've been using the big board for a while, and when I switched to the smaller board... WOW! It was easier to keep less board in the water. Now I can't wait to try the new board.
On the way in to change boards, I was almost at the beach and had stopped, but I thought for a sec just a little closer... then thought better and just as I was pulling out of the water, I jumped out of the straps cause I have three and could ride back the other way with straps.
Pushed the bar out, to kill the power. Which happened, but I tripped over a rock and scraped my hand on barnicles. Took a couple strips of skin out of my hand(lots of blood). But went and got the other board anyway, and went out again.
I'm glad I did!!
I even did a couple little jumps, and didn't get freaked out and flick the board off. I was able to land with my board on, but didn't send the kite back down fast enough, so down in the water I went.(But ready to go again)
Short periods of going upwind...
I can feel it.. I'm that close...
Oh yeah, and the only reason my kite got wet today, was because my last run in, I came in at the beach Hot... and felt comfortable to just let go of the bar. Kite turned off, and I stopped. Then it went on a wingtip and waited for me to pull the bar back and walk back to the field to de-rig.
