After a last minute decision to come to Nitinat for the weekend, I was estatic to get out on the water to get in the footstraps. :D By early afternoon the wind was perfect for me to practise, and after getting some more instructions from Rob, Winddoc, and Steph, I took the plunge (warrior face), and got in the front straps, and slipped into the back straps temporarily. What an amazing feeling !!! :D Being stuck at this phase of my learning curve for over three years (after two pregnancies), I was super pumped to finally commit to the straps, and felt more dialed in and in control while planing. I was looking forward to practising my footwork for the rest of the weekend, when, by some fluke, my boom hit the nose of my board, and cracked it all the way through, and cut my session short. :x
That finished my day, but luckily not my weekend. Rob offered me his 90 Lt JP to try (the next day), and told me that I had no other option but to sail his board if I wanted to windsurf this weekend. :P
I didn't want to stay on the beach, and watch all weekend, so, I pushed myself to try his board. I'm glad I had no other option than to use Rob's board. I loved it, and windsurf 247 may have lost his JP board, if we get the chance again to sail at the same time...thanks, hunny.
