Ridiculous and gusty. the outside was smooth, not that I ventured out there too often as there was a nice 6-7 foot middle break. The waves were breaking top to bottom and I was downright scared, especially with the gusty wind. Lots of powerful whitewater as well, making it even more nerve wracking. All in all, a very humbling experience. We ended up doing a 6 km down winder, the wind was pure sideshore.
The marine forecast stated that there was an 18m swell, so i guess we got lucky that it wasn't comming in at that size. The air and water temp was also unusually cold, making it more like a late fall session.
