Waited for a while on the beach, till inbetween what the news called wind bomb's. Me, and the two grants went out.
After navigating the log boom as the tide was very high by then tossing around all the logs on the beach, and the ones comming in.
It wasn't easy getting past the shore break. (for me)
Shortly after another one of the bombs went off.
The Grants went down and took shelter in the bay downwind.
I got pulled downwind a ways, and because I was having a real hard time staying upwind I knew I'd never make it back if I followed.
I decided I wanted out!
Then realized I'd left the leash on the chicken loop, instead of attaching it on one of the front lines. Damn!
I decided I didn't want to make the switch on land so I put my board up on the little rock wall. (I was still worried the waves might take it away)
Went out into the water, and trusted the technology.
It worked... easily.
Being so close to shore I didn't rap up the lines to the kite, I just pulled myself to the kite grabbed the bridle and pulled myself to shore.
There was no way the kite could have powered up I had a good hold of it. But when I got back standing I had lines wrapped around me, and didn't care for it. I quickly got free. wrapped up the mess, and walked back.
Kendra was next, and Dwain ?.
I stayed on the beach and then played in the surf until the Grants made their way back. (Impressive!!)
Dwain punched out downwind and came back with a bigger line mess than me. (Sorry)
And Grant ran down and caught Kendra.
I think everyone had fun, and everyone lived.
And it was my birthday! Happy birthday to me 8)
