Playing winddummy 4 WDoc, barely planing in flakey S wind, when first of several W squalls hit. Some wicked like that hail :?: front, couldn't see shit, hit more wood than you can shake... one really good, thot that's it for da box, mercifully it stayed put :? Downhaul, outhaul, still wayyyy OP, front handing boom only to get leverage  kept smacking stuff but that ended as it shifted SW & then sweet rollers started
Sail 9 Wave 7 Jump 5 :P
Man, what fun, steady 16-18kn just enough to plane & surf, AWESOME, well worth the wait & survival sailing-
Weather Report: 10-36 knots.....from all directions but E....Flat, chop, spindrift, debris, rollers (in that order) ....Sun, hail, rain, cloud, 3 o'clock darkness (and a combination of these). Warm believe it or not, probably last one for a bit 8) South wind was bizarre, left beach only to almost go in circles as I went out, heading from E to straight WNW on same tack. Wind & waves better outside but kinda sketchy on a day like this, sailing by myself. Waves came inside and I was getting that starboard tack cutback, tried a few transitions on one wave, keep having flashbacks of the clew catching the wave w/ my beak smacking the boom tho :x Lotsa ducks on the faces, getting smoother by the day. Doc, ya shouldda, couldda but yeah, it suppose it didn't look too inviting at first, eh? Next time dood
