Ever feel you arrived with the wrong gear? Note to self, check other than MM5 predictions.... Rigged for arrival conditions (5.0) and instead of easing off, it became insane. Could barely walk in with the 5.0. The smallest sail I brought was a 4.5, which was woefully overpowered.... 3.5 woulda done just fine. All reaches involved some sort of walk. Saw Paul out for a bit, but was sole car in the rigging area. Enormous breaking waves (7-10' on outer bars (got sucked over falls once). Beach break was suprisingly friendly for the conditions. I packed up because sail size was too big.... But.....
