Arrived to what looked like decent wind outside and Bobson flying on windfoil and another slappy boarder having a go at windsurfing. Quickly rigged up the 5.5m, was just heading out when Gus arrived and was close behind me. Caught some gentle puffs right from shore and was flying ninja like some say, on to the outside, made my way up to Clover, a little better wave action but certainly no better wind. It was very marginal everywhere, with really twitchy turns with no power at all in the wing once you pointed off the wind. I channeled my inner Tweezer (where was he anyway(?), kept looking to see if he was going to come flying at me out of the very blinding sun!) puckering up everything and kept thinking of butterflies and helium balloons to stay on foil. It got really sketchy and decided to make some tactical reaches downwind to position me for the kelp free run back to beach, managed to keep it all together and high, flying all the way back to the beach on fumes!
