Arrived to what looked like heaven. flat, windy, sunny and almost warm. HA! Saw a couple of Wangs out at Willows as I drove by so after getting warmed up I headed over there to say HI. I didn't recognize anyone as they were staying pretty close to shore where wind was fluky so decided to circle a couple of them and head back up to CP. Quite a beautiful afternoon although I had to pick up kid from school so had to get off the water by 2:30pm at the latest, well that didn't matter as after 30 minutes I tweaked my calf again so tried for another 15 mins but it was only getting worse and I didn't want to do any major damage so called it a day. Nailed all my gybes today. 29 for 29!! Not my fastest day on the water but slow and steady wins the race. Well, I think that's what Mr. Turtle says. As I got back to the Man-Van Mark from Calgary arrived and started rigging or blowing or pumping, not sure what it's called.? Worst part of the session was thawing out my fingers that were frozen in the dish gloves. I've ordered some palmless neoprene mitts so hopefully they arrive soon. Anyways, packed up in the sunshine, picked up kid and came home for a delicious cold Corona and ice for the calf. CP is my favourite spot when there is lots of wind, lots of places to go and explore, well other than summertime at Nitinaht or China Creek. Okay, favourite spot within 20 mins of my house, ya! that's it! Feeling the Love!
