Challenging day for me with fickle conditions in trying to hang with Danno and MtnarG. Started with 5m. I switched to 6m as Danno came back in to go bigger. Did laps from the beach to the Clover Pt. playground and was able to manage the swell. Tried some more foiling the swells and felt the push a few times without engaging the wing. Switched gopro battery when a crazy squall descended and had me terrified. I switched to Cab5 and that was really a better choice for the higher winds. Just more work to get up. The new X3 Cab6 felt significantly stiffer than my Cab6 Mantis and the immediate power knocked me off the board a few times til I learned to anticipate the pull. The 6m X3 confirmed that it was the perfect short man's wing. The wing tip cutouts avoided many water strikes that I would have had with the Mantis. Overpowered today, but it was predictable enough to handle in the squalls. Very happy! Thanks to Bobson for not startling me with a hi-speed buzz pass!
