I agree with Clive, the wind was all over the place and the sea was big and weird for the "meh" kind of wind on offer. I was the first to arrive and self launched and it felt decent on the point. I dragged out past the miso soup on offer at the reef and the wind was just not there for me. I immediately came in self-landed and grumped to myself about the wind. I went and grabbed my 14.5 Flite and figured it was the solution but the wind was so up and down, I was reluctant. Shortly thereafter, I was joined by other wind mercenaries and we all puzzled about the fickle wind. It came up again and I went out for a second try on the 12m. I was fully powered, for a time, and even thought I might regret taking the 12m as it seemed that it was about to really come on. Well, it didn't. I came in again on a lull and stood around puzzled just like everyone else. I lost patience and figured my time was best used eating pizza and drinking wine instead of wind, so I went home. However, perhaps I should have stayed, it looked like it filled in at sunset.
