First checked out Gordons Beach, hoping I could try out the spot, but looked like there was a ton of kelp out there (not sure if that's the norm?) and no one in sight despite being crazy windy.. so I checked out Sooke Basin instead. Got to the basin, rigged up a 6.2 and it felt pretty OP so I quickly came back and rigged the 5.7 which felt just right. Tried out the new fin and felt the improvement almost immediately once I was on the water. Would have stayed longer if the wind didn't die off.. I'm sure it picked back up once I left lol. Cool spot though!
