Interesting and weird session. No one really there and yet really good conditions with a 5 m. Struggled a bit with a new KT direct drive. The new handles are heavy. New learning. Got even worse by puncturing the new wing as a result of an upturned Foil in wind and chop. Decided to keep going with the hope that the tear wouldn't get any bigger. A very good idea. I ended up having one of the most breakthrough sessions I've ever had. I cleared jibes and tacks with my longest toe side flights yet. My first tack at full speed. The puncture almost defeated the experience, and made me want to go back to the beach. Lesson learned. Take the frustration out on the water. Conditions started to bag out just as BWD arrived.
