Had planned a trip to Nimpkish but the campervan had other plans so came home till we can get her in the shop. Udder disappointment turned to pure bliss tonight as the home beach delivered the goods. Arrived arround 8:00pm to see Nils rigging his foil gear. He was out first and quickly returned to rig his fin gear while I headed out. Perfectly powered from the start and hammered a nice jump on the way out. I already had replaced the weed fins with regular wave fin setup and what a treat here to have no seaweed.
Took a break as the wind backed off a bit. Then went out for a few more runs as it started to ramp up again. Two Coast guard boats out front and I didn't notice one was towing a sailboat upwind to French Creek until I turned around. Sun was almost going down and the tow rope was hard to see but I figured it out in time to head way downwind to avoid the line. Ripped right by the stern of the sailboat with the crew all on deck shouting out as I went by within a couple of meters. Fun night on the water and actually got to sail a couple of runs with Markus. Followed up with a walk to the point with Sharon and Luke to watch the Canada day fireworks.
Hoping for a bit more wind and waves in the morning.
