Clover was closed for an event so I went back to the old stomping grounds of Cook St. No one was there or on the water. I setup and was ready to self-launch when Rob C. showed up. I was lucky for that and grateful too. Rob assisted me with the launch which made it a lot easier in the low wind. I dragged out through the light wind and then had a sensational session with strong wind and excellent swell to smash and slash. I went hard and was exhausted at the end of the session. The wind was decreasing so I came in with speed hoping to get through the shore bubble and make it to shore. I got to about 25m and the kite fell out of the sky. That required a short swim in and then a bit of a tidy up on my lines and putting away a wet kite. All in all a terrific session.
