Want to thank Ryan as this wasn't even on my radar. I got up around 1245 not expecting much. There was already enough wind to get out on a 5m. I realized it was much heavier 200 m off the shoreline so I downsized to a 4 m only to have the wind drop and then things really started to pick up. Good swell, a ton of kelp, one 6 inch wide tree branch that sent me for a hotdog. The omen mast was completely unscathed. Grateful to be an islander.
