Suddenly, wind! Waited for more than an hour for foilable winds. Greg and Paul had gone out earlier, just to slog back. It was lightly filling so I went out with 7m Stinger loaner from Lancer. Winds continued to build and it was pretty easy to get up and foiling and to gybe consistently being well powered. After about 30min, the winds got switched to Turbo and I had to get off the 7m before high wind catastrophe. I switched to 5m and really needed my 4m but I didn't bring it so I was out and overpowered with the Cab 5mX3. Getting out was difficult with the onshore winds which tends to always be tough for me. I stayed inside, being a bit intimidated by the big winds. It was confidence building to have the gybes work in the tough conditions. And then the swell got a bit tougher and the winds started gusting to +30kts. My gybes significantly reduced in efficiency and the 5m was getting tougher to sheet out. Once I noticed a little tear in my Cab, it was time to call it a day. The winds were exhilarating and it was great to be out with such a big group. Thanks to the OG senior staff that were out there with me - Greg, Paul, Dan, G-Man, Grant, Jon, Kalen. Fantastic stuff!
