I arrived just as all the 8m kites had landed. The wind was backing off. I pulled a 10m from the truck but went back immediately and grabbed a 12m. Josh went out on a 14.5m and was coming in as I was ready to go. That is a bad sign. I launched Justin who was determined to have a session and undaunted by the seemingly soft wind, I got Josh to give me a launch. Well, it turned out to be a really good session. There was enough wind for the most part with typical waning frontal lulls and punches but it was more than enough for me to have a load of fun. I didn't venture into the shore break as I was riding my pristine new Duke and I just didn't have the stomach to subject it to a shore pounding if I wiped out. I very much like my new Ride Engine harness with the unity spreader bar, no more stretched out webbings and having it ride up my chest. I felt quite confident and strong out there thanks to the recent weight room sessions with my wife. No GPS b/c I was so excited to get out that I forgot to turn on the app.
